To all Vegans!!!?!
To all Vegans!!!?
I wont lie... I love meat. I wont hate on you guys because you dont, but I want to know if you miss eating a delicious cheeseburger or steak, bbq chicken, fish... anything??? Don't you think it's unnatural to not eat meat?
Answers: yes i do. pass the steak
??Gerri?? - if Jesus lived, and if the bible is how you know it. have you ever read about him and fish. no i don't, no i don't I think you are operating from a false premise. Many vegetarians/vegan like the taste of meat. Or at least did when they gave it up.
One does not go veggie b/c of taste one goes veggie because they are willing to sacrifice the taste so the animals won't suffer. Obviously you are immoral. I'm not vegan, I'm vegetarian but since I don't eat meat I think I can answer this question.
People choose not to eat meat for different reasons. The reason I stopped eating meat was because I saw videos on how they treat animals and I was horrified. I not only felt that it was very wrong for them to be treated that way, I also felt that I would never want to eat the flesh of any of those poor abused animals again. And most of all it grossed me out to even think about eating meat again.
Even though it's only been 2 months, I still feel the exact same way today. I have yet to "crave" meat because of what I saw and I'm sure that all the positive effects of becoming a vegetarian have also helped me to keep wanting this new diet. Not to hate on you but i think its unnatural how we treat animals and unnatural to eat an animal HI BILLYC, WE NEED TO ALL EAT MEAT TO KEEP HEALTHY SOMETIME A LITTLE WONT HURT SO I THINK AS A VEGAN ITS UNNATURAL TO NOT EAT MEAT. HAVE A GREAT DAY. No I don't think it's unnatural. Meat eating is mostly cultural. Many may argue that humans weren't physically meant to eat meat as it doesn't digest as quickly as non-flesh type foods. As for missing eating meat.. I couldn't stand the smell of it after 2 months of giving it up so I can't say I miss it. I like meat,I just choose to give it up because of animal rights.& No I do not,I used to miss it,now I am used to it.& I dont need meat to survive, neither do you. :] & it isnt unatural,Its untatural that humans eat animals that are living breathing creatures.Would you eat a human?
Hopefully not. no. i think it's very natural to eat meat-animal species have been doing it forever. however, i don't think HUMANS fall into that catagory so for humans, i know that they can easily survive without meat, many people have been doing it and living long and lovely lives. tbh the only thing i miss, this took me alot of thought, my mums chicken sandwitches, but i can have quorn chicken which tastes the same and is better for you, pther than that i never really liked meat anyway so its no big loss to me What I miss is not worrying about what I'm going to eat when I'm dining with nonvegetarians at an omni restaurant, especially when I'm dragged to a chain-type place. But I don't miss meat, and I don't miss what it did to my body.
And no, it's not unnatural for humans not to eat meat. What's unnatural is what's done to the animals these days to produce meat. For the most part, I don't miss meat @ all & it seems perfectly natural for me *not* to eat it.
Very occasionally I miss the taste of seafood but not enough to actually consider eating an animal. Fortunately, we have a great vegan Chinese restaurant nearby & they have several tasty analogs.
When I first went veg I missed KFC (there was one on our block @ the time) but that passed & I honestly believe that it was the seasoning that I was craving. well, Jesus never ate meat. I think that the animals here show the beauty that god created. People like JLO kill animals, for what, FASHION..it is not 1600 bitc.h !!!!!
i am transitioning towards being a vegan and yes it will be hard not eating buffolo wings but i know that i am not eating a defenseless beautiful thing that once roamed this earth.
i ??? Animals Nope, never miss a thing. Really and truly. And no, I don't think it's unnatural. On the contrary, I think that eating dead flesh is pretty weird. We only accept it because it's part of our culture, not part of our nature. Why would I?
I make stuff at home that tastes just as good or better. when i first went vegetarian (in march), i missed chicken on occasion, particularly when i cooked a breaded chicken breast because i covered someone's demo lunch at my work. but then i ate some morningstar nuggets and the craving passed.
now, i don't miss meat at all.
oh, and thanks for asking the question nicely :)
