Answers: 1. Get lots of rest. The body works best when you're sleeping
2. Drink lots of fluids
3. I've heard that hot/spicy foods help a sore throat. It worked for me.
4. Take it easy. Don't do things that are too strenuous.

Hope you feel better! Lots of Vitamin C (like OJ) and Echinacea. PEPTO BISMO Gargle with warm salt water, drink plenty of water, get plenty of rest. Take cold medicines. Eat chicken noodlle soap! Try Emergen-C.
The stuff is amazing.

Also, I would drink lots of tea!!

Get a humidifier which releases humidity into the air and makes it easier to breathe at night when you sleep.

Eat lots of vitamins. Headache
Heart burn
Indigestion
Upset Stomach
Daireah
Yay peptobismo Vitamin C
1000mg every hour
most supermarkets do 1000mg tablets There is no cure for the common cold . Just drink plenty of water , OJ . Sudafed , and anything that will numb your throat . And just rest. All day , just watch tv and eat ice cream and drink water. For me the best way to get rid of a cold was hot Tea with honey in it Since i cant take regular meds. The honey will help sooth your sore throat. And the Steam from the tea will help clear your nose. That Usually works for me. Pound the OJ. Go to sleep after that. maybe u need ur tonsils removed or just make ur self a nice HOT chicken soup (it does help) Lemon is the most important among the many home remedies for common cold. It is beneficial in all types of cold with fever. Vitamin C-rich lemon juice increases body resistance, decreases toxicity and reduces the duration of the illness. One lemon should be diluted in a glass of warm water, and a teaspoon of honey should be added to it. This should be taken once or twice daily. Try hot tea with a little ginger (or lemon) and some honey. Echinachea. Gargle with warm salt water. Get a humidifier or put a towel over your head while inhaling from a basin of hot water to open your sinuses. Make some vegetable soup. Check your local health food store for "cruelty free" cold medications. I'm sorry you feel so lousy.

Hot liquids, such as tea. If you have tea, add some agave nectar to it to soothe your throat. Eat hot veggie soups, broths if possible.

Get some Naked Food Juice Power-C which has tons of vitamin C and is pretty tasty to boot.

Emergen-C Vitamin C packets are pretty good, too.

Take some hot showers to clear out your sinuses and congestion.

Get lots of rest, too.

The only thing that gets rid of a cold is time, but doing all this will make you less miserable. make a cup of hot tea, add lemon juice, honey (or sugar if you don't do honey) and whiskey, lock yourself in your bathroom, turn on all water faucets HOT, and sit in the steam with a hot damp towel on your face and chest ... drink tea while in there, go to bed afterwords...stay there and drink orange juice (vitamin c) and gargle with warm salt water every 2 to 4 hours until you feel better, or contact homeopathic doctor if necessary..
Peace and love to you too. sure hope you feel better... I use Zinc to make my cold duration shorter. I also down plenty of liquids and drink hot chicken broth(U can use miso) with garlic and I intake vitamin C and drink a lot of tea with lemon and honey. OH, and I get a load of rest. Get airbborne and drink a kids juice that has 120% vitamin C, with some other vitamins of course, like Juicy Juice, or Just Juice, hope this helps and get better soon (: Try Elderberry

Health Claims - Elderberry (Sambucus nigra, S. canadensis) reduces viral infections, including the common cold and flu.

How Does it Work? Elderberry works as a simple cleanser and as an antioxidant. It is also a diaphoretic, diuretic, and hepatic. It is anti-inflammatory, anti-catarrhal, and acts as a mild laxative. This gentle herb is used for bronchitis, catarrh, common cold symptoms including coughs and sore throats, fevers, influenza, neuralgia, rheumatism, sciatica, skin disorders, and hay fever.

How Should I Take It? A tea made with 3 to 5 grams of the dried flowers steeped in 250 ml (1 cup) boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes may be taken three times a day. Liquid Elderberry extract may be taken twice a day in amounts of 5 ml (for children) to 10 ml (for adults). Twenty to 60 drops of the tincture may be taken two or three times a day. smelling a onion can seriously help you it like opens up you nose 1000mg of Vitamin c every hour for three hours by the next day you should feel way better I promise within the first three days of illness

POUND echinacea, 3 X day-it only works when you're sick so don't take daily

POUND vitamin C-1200mg daily, this is a no brainer and you should take 1000 mg daily anyway

POUND zinc 3 tabs/day while you're ill ONLY

GARLIC soup-meat sucks!

chest rub with menthol to releive congestion

hot compresses on head and throat

go EASY with tea-it always makes me puke when I'm sick

try to eat-crackers or something to calm your stomach

Rest-your body is at war, you don't need to overextend Cold medicine doesn't make a cold go away, anyway. It just suppresses the symptoms. Only a little time and your immune system can make it go away.

One suggestion that I haven't seen is nasal douching with warm salt water. You just mix like 1/4 tsp of salt into warm water and breathe it up your nose one nostril at a time. It take a couple of tries to get used to the sensation, but the goal is to sniff it through your nostril and spit it out. The saline mixture is similar to that of your body's tissues, so it's soothing (like gargling with salt water) and, unlike decongestants, there's no rebound stuffiness.

Hot, steamy soup always seems to work wonders, too. Vitamin C and lots of black pepper! Freshly cracked black pepper is a powerful decongestant (better than chicken soup). Chili peppers work well too. Don't snort the stuff, just add it to vegetable soup. As hot as you can stand it. drink lots of tea, vegitarian chicken broth, and water.
get alot of sleep.
blow your nose and spit out that crap..
keep moving, your brain forgets that your sick, and it has your body act normal. Take mint leaves. Alot of them. Steep them in hot water for like, 30 minutes. Add Sugar in the Raw. I like 2 tablespoons per typical coffee cup size mug. Breathe in the steam for 5 minutes (don't burn yourself, please.) Then just slam the sweet, minty exilixr. Don't sip it, slam it. It should help w/ all the symptoms you have, and some you didn't realize you had... Hope ya feel better.
