I'm of doing a report on why humans should not eat meat/animals...?!

Question:

I'm of doing a report on why humans should not eat meat/animals...?

What are some good websites to get some reliable information? and why don't or do you eat meat? [this also goes for eating animal products too.] Thank you in advance, its much appreciated.

Answers: PETA shows the meat industry for what it is. (And that's why meat-eaters don't like PETA)

I'm vegan, because:

1. The animals are treated horrifically.
2. Eating blood, pus, sh*t, and steroids is gross.
3. Eating meat and dairy is very unhealthy. I do eat meat. I think anything in moderation. Red meat, serving the size of your palm.
But, overall, Moderation is the key. I dont know any place, but I know you have to eat animal products and meat just because we have similar tooth like all meat eaters. Just think about this... when you were a baby you were feed with Mamal milk. peta.com is a good one.. I eat meat because I like it. However the older I get the less red meat I eat because i do believe it is not all that healthy but that doesn't mean I don't still like a grilled steak now and again. I love chicken and seafood. There is no website that can be trusted with this because humans should eat meat. Peta is not an organization to be trusted anyway. Everything we have today is based on the use of animals in the past. Don't listen to the other answers- people do not need to eat animals to be healthy.
Use this website from the American Dietetic Association for the best info:
http://www.eatright.org/cps/rde/xchg/ada... just do a quick search on "meat is bad", and you'll be surprised by the results.

some veggie sites:

http://www.vegan.org/about_veganism/heal...
http://www.earthsave.org/health/... (earthsave is founded by john robbins)
http://www.vegansociety.com/html/food/nu...

i know you specifically asked for websites, but if you get the chance check out these books:
1. "the food revolution" - john robbins
2. "diet for a new america" - john robbins
3. "the china study" - t. colin campbell

my reasons for not wanting to eat meat? health, animal, and planet. after being meatless since march and animal product-free since june, i've found that my body has never felt better.

best wishes :) Try books; in the old days, they were considered acceptable reference materials for reports. A short list to start with:

"Diet for a New America" by John Robbins
"The Food Revolution" by John Robbns
"Mad Cowboy" by Howard H. Lyman
"No More Bull" by Howard H. Lyman
"The China Project" by T. Colin Campbell

I don't eat animal products for a number of reasons. What it boils down to is that it's not necessary, it's not healthy, it's not environmentally sound and it doesn't satisfy my ethical considerations. www.peta2.com www.goveg.com www.kentuckyfriedcruelty those are three very good sites. I myself am a vegan, and I do not eat meat because I don't believe in taking anything that doesn't belong to us, and I believe animals have rights too. Good luck! http://meat.org

If you Google vegan diet global warming, you will get some stats from non-veg groups on how meat production is a big contributor to global warming. This is a pretty good medical journal summary.
