Is it me or have you noticed an increase in recalls?!

Question:

Is it me or have you noticed an increase in recalls?

of more vegetables in the past couple of years? I know the Spinach recall last year about killed me because I love spinach so much. Has this affected any veg/vegans? Or do you try to buy your food from a local buyer and is that any safer?

I do to most of the time (except salads) but they say, as in the case of the spinach it didnt matter if it was cooked or not.

I do to most of the time (except salads) but they say, as in the case of the spinach it didnt matter if it was cooked or not. It really hasn't affected me...
I know that it probably should scare me, but for some reason it really doesn't.
I buy a lot of my produce from an asian market because it's cheaper.
I have no idea where they get their produce, or whether it is any safer... but I have never gotten sick. I just make sure I wash it really good--to get rid of the pesticides or whatever may have been used (again I have no idea where the produce comes from). Source(s):
