What are the benefits of become a vegetarian?!

Question:

What are the benefits of become a vegetarian?

I've been thinking about it for a while. I LOVE animals and I feel like a hypocrite eating them. can't become a vegan.:9 But I can be a vegetarian. What are the benefits and how can I discipline myself to be one?

Answers: you are healthier for one
did you know that fish skin can carry high amounts of toxic waste and mercury
cows are put on steroids to grow larger faster
turkeys are so drugged up they are almost featherless, and the drugs can cause them to become to over weight that they cant walk and get sores all over their bodies...and you eat that
same goes for chickens they even sleep in their "business"
pigs almost the same
and you aren't supporting this
watch the clips of "meet the animals" i would recommend watching the one on cows because if you cant stomach that everything else is similar to it here is the site http://www.goveg.com/ none....i love meat! its healthier

lower cholesterol

you might live longer

I have to eat meat to stay grounded, I kind of spin out and get light headed if I don't have it I'm not sure: However, I do know that some of th best looking and most fit celebrities are vegetarian.

maybe you could research their experiences. some of them are not very closed-mouthed about it.

www.goveg.com/feat/sexiestveg2... 1. You are not eating animals, so less animals are being slaughtered
2. The more meat you eat, the more calcium you lose in your urine.
3. Meat-eaters usually have exessive amounts of protein, while vegetarians have the right amount
4. You save energy and electricity (meat takes ten times the amount of energy for it to get transported)
5. It is WAAAAAAAY cheaper than eating meat
6. It prevents you from getting acne
7. Vegetarians tend to live around ten years longer than meat eaters
8. You are influencing all of the people around you in good ways I stuck to a vegetarian diet (not vegan) for 7 years and it is surpisingly easy if you really like veggies. First thing to do is start a journal of recipes, even littel breakfast and lunch things so when you're stumped for an idea you have back up. Just take the plunge and feel good about yourself. Then take a trip to a local farm and give a baby cow a hug. Did you know that it takes years of research and testing of drugs to be approved for human injection? Did you know that drugs injected into animals require....ZERO approval? Did you know that on average 21 forms of NON FDA approved drugs are administered to, for example cows? These same animals after years of torture, are also laced with hormones, anti-biotics, feed ridden with pesticides, feed ridden with chicken feces. Did you know that the meat and dairy industry is a multi-million dollar industry that would have you believe otherwise? All those supposed "Government" looking ads on TV/in magazines for milk and beef are not "Government" ads? They are brought to you by the "Industries". It is a big business my friend. A VERY unhealthy business and cruel business....
If you only knew what goes on behind closed doors...you would be shocked, angry, and disillusioned. Yup you will lose 10-15 years of your life, and have a 40% higher chance of heart disease, high cholesterol, heart attack, kidney/liver failure, and list goes on, and on, and on, and on.....Just so your Meat and dairy industry executives can laugh all the way to the bank...Enjoy your infested slab of flesh. Bon appetite!

Cheers You save money... vegetables are cheaper than eating steak, veal cutlets etc...
