Why do meat eaters need to justify their actions/choice?!

Question:

Why do meat eaters need to justify their actions/choice?

I find it amusing how meat eaters come on VV to justify their filthy habits. Deep down, they know they are slowly making themselves sick, fat, and unhealthy. But for some reason they feel the need to rant. Well, I say rant away, for eventually you will rot away, on average 15 years before a VV'er. Not to mention more heart/kidney/liver/cancer occurances and general failing health at an exponential rate along the way. Yeah, you meat eaters are real winners aint' you?

According to a study carried out by the Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (German Cancer Research Center), vegetarians have a dramatically lowered mortality risk. 100 deaths to be statistically expected in the age group of study participants are matched by only 59 real deaths in vegetarians. Looking at male participants only, the positive effect - with only 52 actual deaths - is even more pronounced. On average, the Vegetarian is hospitalized 80% less than carnivores when it comes to heart disease, kidney failure, liver failure and cancer.

If I was not a vegetarian I would not even go to this section. It actually kind of sad that they are so proud they eat meat. I regret to inform you that your pants are on fire.

The average age at death in the US of an omnivore woman is 79.2, of an omnivore man, 73.2. You can't find *any* study showing vegetarians and vegans live to be 15 years older than that, because they don't. Vegetarians and vegans live *shorter* lives, in every study that is not compromised by the "healthy volunteer" effect.

I do NOT go to the vegetarian/vegan section. Your questions appear in the "Food & Drink" section of Yahoo! Answers. If Y!A were more logically organized, questions on vegetarian and veganism would go with other perversions and mental health disorders. They don't. Nobody does. But the insecure do it anyways.

John L/Ruby Red---you've been outed. Speaking of ranting, got a mirror?

Anyway, I don't have to justify jack-sh-- to you because I am secure in my actions. I wouldn't try to justify anything to someone as brainwashed as many of you. PETA.org is the most listed "resource" on this page. What a joke. When will you wake up and see them as the political and environmental terrorists they really are? I visit this page to act as a counterbalance to the insanity I see spewed here and to be entertained by the train-wreck of flawed information listed.

By the way, Paul Ding, great answer.

Bring on the thumbs down!
