yeah freddy krueger that one is full of info too! the creator is a genius! I've never liked milk for many reasons. When I was a child, I just thought it looked and smelled disgusting. I wouldn't eat cereal as a child because of this. I had no problem with other dairy products, however.

Now that I'm older, I still think it's digusting, but for some reason, I can't overlook the fact that humans are the only animals that continue to drink milk even after we're weaned. Granted it's not human milk, which would, in a way, make more sense, but I still find it disturbing.

I know a lot of people say that milk is really good for you, and blah, blah, blah...but there are other sources of calcium out there other than milk. Not to mention, if it's so damn important, how are other animals able to survive without problems when they're not drinking milk?

All in all, the whole concept of drinking milk has disturbed me since I was three or four. WOW! That's a site with a kazillion links. I wouldn't even know where to begin in order to form an opinion. Keep in mind there could be sites like that for just about EVERY food we eat. If we took it all to heart, we'd be lucky if we could eat bird seed and nothing else. So seriously, don't take all that to heart. If you choose to become vegan do it for the sake of the animals, Just remember what you'd be giving up if you decide to go vegan. Ice cream, cheese (no parm on your pasta), milk, cream, whipped cream (there are non-dairy, but ehhh it's just not whipped cream), most cakes, pancakes, waffles, butteretc., eggs, egg noodles, many pastas.

I'm not vegetarian OR vegan, but I try to keep it healther by keeping most foods I buy organic... from meat to veggies to dairy products. I limit the amount of meats I eat, eat some soy protein "meat" products, which is something that's becoming increasingly more prevalent in my diet. Mostly I eat fish and chicken to keep the fat content down. My daughter is vegetarian... well almost... she eats fish on occasion. But she's an amazing gourmet vegetarian cook. Who knows, the way things are going for me, I may follow in her footsteps. One thing I know for sure... I could never give up cheese or eggs... so becoming vegan is out for me.

I'm a label reader for a different reason, but giving up dairy would be a good reason to become a master in the art of ingredients label reading. And just make a point of getting the nutriets you need in your daily diet. Too extreme. The site patently has a political agenda, one that is willing to exaggerate some facts and ignore others, while resorting to fear mongering in an effort to push its point. As with any extremest point of view, when presented in such an over-the-top manner, I quickly question the 'evidence' behind the position.

Some points raised are clearly valid. Moreover, these points do deserve awareness, and certainly deserve action. But, a categorical condemnation of milk is... absurd. It is untenable, and will only lead to a reactionary response by many who will not research the issue for themselves, but will resent having a group of people trying to dictate their dietary habits.

Also, human females breast feed their newborns milk. Should this too be stopped? Milk that. I totally agre with See0emil. We stop producing the enzyme to digest milk I think around age 3 or something. Or maybe a little older.
Anyway, I don't think adults are meant to drink milk, or consume dairy. Cheese is very processed as well. It may taste good, but it doesn't do your body good at all!
As far as calcium is concerned, I don't think milk gives us much. I believe we don't fully digest milk, and therefore aren't able to ablsorb the calcium. Milk is fortified with calcium anyway. it's so processed that really, it's just water with a whole bunch of minerals added.
A big glass of carrot juice has lots of calcium and tastes great. Fewer calories than milk, and no fat. Broccoli, sesame seeds, kale, almonds, all have tons of calcium, and are so much better for you. I haven't drank any milk in about 15 years. My teeth are in better shape now than they were when I did drink it. I was allergic to all dairy products until the age of 6 or 7 , some reason dairy made me turn blue and black and I ended up in the hospital. Im very weary of dairy products! heres another...
http://www.milksucks.co.uk/ I don't care if it's "politically motivated". Isn't that the point- to show people how bad dairy is??

I think it's wonderful, thanks for sharing it. It's hard to find good health information about going veg/vegan, as most big corporations are in bed with the meat/dairy industries, and doctors/nutritionists went to medical schools with mainstream "values" and so they assume their teaching is correct. My thoughts are you should read something factual, not opinionated, with scientific backup and citations.
