What's the best way to eat all my veggies?!

Question:

What's the best way to eat all my veggies?

I'm 28 years old & good health is very important to me. I like eating fruits & veggies sometimes...but for the most part I just can't get psyched up to eat them! I don't have a lot of time to make fun veggie dishes like stir fry, but yet I don't want to sit around eating plain ol' baby carrots.

Anyone know any simple but fun veggie recipes for one?

Answers: If you don't have a lot of time, do what I do. I make a giant stir fry on Sunday with lots of veggies and brown rice. Then I put it into individual containers and then into the freezer. Just microwave one of the containers whenever you want to eat some. But don't over cook it in the microwave or it will suck.

Try to eat all of it within a week, you don't want freezer burn killing the awesomeness of the veggies. yumm try vg i think they are called smoothies try strawberry kiwi it has veggies to. v-8 juice. and grilled veggie wraps If you like ranch dressing (hidden valley) then put it on them. My kids eat veggies that way and sometimes so do I. Just open mouth and insert veggies. Saute onions, garlic, zucchini slices, a can of diced tomato and steamed cauliflower with salt and pepper, serve over pasta with parmessian cheese.

Great variety of vegetables and tastes great! Try putting them in other dishes. Like if you want meatloaf or spaghetti you can puree some veggies and put them into what you were already going to eat. You can also do veggie juices however I'm not that fond of them. You could also make them the entree like grilled corn on the cob. We also like grilled zucchini and carrots. Also keep an eye on portion sizes, i was surprised to see how little of certain veggies are actually considered a full serving. v8 fusion
strawberry Kiwi

My 8 year loves it.

read all the veggies in it. There are so many choices to make veggies good tasting these days. Here are just a few:

If you're cooking fresh veggies...you can toss them in a mixture of olive oil, lemon pepper and salt. Or, you can toss them with almost any bottled vinaigrette dressing. For a more savory flavor, I like to take a little salsa and microwave it in about 2 tbs. of light Velveeta cheese. Yummy.

There are also a bunch veggie selections that are already seasoned with sauces, spices, etc. in the frozen food section of your grocery store. I like to keep those on hand for times when I'm just to tired to prepare fresh veggies.

Good Luck...and Enjoy!
The Coach Grill and baste. Olive oil and practically anything: lemon juice, OJ, balsamic vinegar, jams, ect. Throw in some salt and pepper and go to town. Or you can dip raw veggies in cilantro mayo, yogurt, or dressing (ranch is a favorite) Bake your carrots in lemon and crushed garlic.

Best Salad:

Rip up some Romaine
add a bunch of diced up fruit
sprinkle a couple of tbsp of crushed honey roasted peanuts over
add some croutons
drizzle a couple of tbsp of this dressing:

1 c virgin olive oil
8 crushed garlic cloves
puree
1 c vinegar
1 c lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 c hemp hearts (gives loads of omega fats you need)
blend and refrigerate.

It's great as a spread out of the fridge and melts on your salad as the olive oil warms to room temp.

This dressing is heavenly on any veg combo. Add your favourite chopped veg to a pan with a little water and boil for a few minutes then add your favourite tin or packet soup makes like a stew if you dont have time for stir-frys and stove stuff, how about steaming vegetables in the microwave for like 2 minutes? =] add veggies to all your meals..they always fit right into pretty much anything! :o)

eat fruit as snacks and make 100% fruit smoothies(just add random fruit, water and ice) to drink while you eat, instead of drinking something unhealthy like soda, sugary drinks and stuff..

eat some vegetables while sitting on top of your roof!
with your friends! make picnics, eat at parks/outdoors..

decorate your food on your plate....

use any possible chance you get to change it up a bit

it makes it funner! :D

good luck, and eat your veggies young man! ^.^.

xoxoox With a fork, unless they're crudite (pronounced "krew duh tay"), then you can use your fingers (I won't tell). Blanch it then add salad dressing. That's it. But if you have time, you can chop it finely, then use it as fillings to lumpia wrapper. Then fry. It's tasty and crunchy. stir fry takes 10 minutes, but if you don't even have time for that, just put together a salad (not necessarily lettuce based) but chopped veggies and some kind of dressing that you like. that can make it more exciting.

or make sandwiches with all veggies on them. best way to eat all... is with your mouth. You can make a veggie omelet -- just dice some tomatoes, onions, green and red bell peppers, mushrooms, and whatever else you have, and mix it with some eggs and fry it up.

Or you can make a nice stew and put lots of veggies (celery, carrots, onion, cauliflower, etc) in it. This is also great with those package curry mixes.

For something really simple, just take a big bunch of (washed) spinach, put them in a pan with some water and a dash of salt, and heat it up, covered, until the spinach wilts from the steam and the heat. If you add even more water you can get a spinach soup. If you add less you can drain it and eat the spinach cooked. This works for all your leafy greens.

If spoilage is an issue (like it is for me), you can always go with canned or frozen veggies. You can scramble some egg, add the veggies, put in the cooked rice, some salt or soy sauce, and you have an easy fried rice. If you have cooked rice on hand, this takes five minutes.

I find that preparing meat takes much longer than vegetables. I guess if you're really stuck for time there's always the option of eating out. Or going to the supermarket and getting a premade salad. McDonald's, McDonald's
Kentucky Fried Chicken
and a Pizza Hut...

Well Maybe not KFC, but McDonald's has all those salad selections and Pizza Hut will definitely have an all vegan pizza. On second thoughts you could drop by KFC and ask for the free water... : D
