Does Doritos use vegetarian friendly enzymes?!
Does Doritos use vegetarian friendly enzymes?
It says that the cheese has enzymes in it. Are they veggie friendly?
Answers: The nacho cheese doritos are not vegetarian.
I'm not sure about the other varieties, but they probably contains something nasty...
Here is something from the frito lay website:
"Q. Want to know which products do not contain porcine (pork) enzymes?
A. For a list of products that do not contain enzymes from pork, click here [below]".
http://www.fritolay.com/fl/flstore/cgi-b...
Nacho cheese doritos aren't on that list, I'm guessing that would have to mean that they do contain pork enzymes.
Edit:
The only doritos that are vegetarian are the toasted corn doritos. If you'd like to see the ingredients for yourself,
Go to the site that I listed above>> click the "products and promotions" link at the top>> go to "products">> then "Doritos brand Tortilla chips">> And then "Doritos Toasted Corn tortilla chips".
It should show you the ingredients. Source(s):

http://360.yahoo.com/profile-vhtvuj05cqp... I dunno. Doritos always smell like dirty old socks to me. Yeah, they did nothing bad to grass eating nutjobs yet. Go to Doritos.com and ask them. Ordinary cheese is usually made with rennet, which is an enzyme made from calves' stomachs (after they are slaughtered.)
