thanks :) BK has a veggie burger. It really depends on where you go though because I've heard many complain that they don't clean the grill/grill it on the same grill as the meat, so beware.

As for sushi restaurants, most that I have ever been to have a vegetable roll plate.

Here's a website that lists some of the options available to you when eating out.

The best advice is to ask. If you're not sure if it has meat in it/is cooked with meat flavorings or such, ask. At restaurants especially, ask what their vegetarian options are if they're not apparent from the menu.

Also, be careful about fries. Places like McDonalds still use meat flavoring in their fries: http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller....
It doesn't look like BK does http://www.bk.com/#menu=3,3,-1 salads
yogurt
potatoes
not french fries - they are fried in beef tallow meat many restaurants have vegetarian dishes.
At McDonald's and Burger King, order a hamburger without the meat. They will give you a sandwich with only lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
Sushi usually comes with a vegan offering. No fish, only avocado or sliced vegetables. It should not be that difficult to find something. Most chain restaurants offer an assortment of salads and a veggie entree or two.

Most fast food places offer salad entrees of some kind. Even if some have meat I am sure you could ask them for one without meat or just pick the meat out yourself.

As for the fries you are probably okay since almost every major chain is moving to the trans fat free vegetable oils to fry everything in these days. Soup, potatoes, apple pie, veggie burger, apples, milk, etc. order pasta with spaghetti sauce yum yum! It's not a religion, there are no rules. Don't listen to the Vegan Nazis who say "Well you can't be a Vegan if you eat Fries"

Order what you want to eat. If you don't want meat, don't order meat. Order salads, fries, chicken, fish, whatever. Hi,

Unfortunately, fast food restaurants are not the best places for filling vegetarian food. BK has a veggie burger and some McD outlets have them too (Boca burgers). Don't eat the McD fries as they have beef flavoring. You should try and persuade your friends to eat at other restaurants. It may be a bit more expensive but it's healthier, you get more options, and it's what you'll have to do when you enter the working world anyway. Most restaurants will have a few vegetarian items on the menu. If they don't, or even if they do, it's easy to modify an existing item to include (or exclude) what you want to eat. For example, I've ordered the chinese chicken salad, hold the chicken, or chicken fajitas, substitute avacado. Restaurants don't mind accomodating, though sometimes I get looks from the servers. Well, it, once again, demonstrates the problems and frustrations of the veggies. nothing, only fast food place is subway
