Switching over to Vegan. What kind of snacks should I have? WHat do you buy/make?!

For those of you that have nothing better to do than critisize my health choices, I dont want to hear your preaches about meat and how great it is. If your only purpose is to leave answers that are off topic, you can leave, or I can report and block. ;)

If anyone would like to share their snack choices (besides the obvious just plain fruits and veggies) that would be wonderful. thank you =)

traceilicious, Is your comment supposed to bother me? Do you think people are just born as vegan's? Somewhere along the line A LOT of people that are vegans were once meat eaters.

I happen to be ill and this is realy my only option.

I hope it makes you feel good to leave your useless comments. And whats even funnier, is when someone leaves a comment that has nothing to do with the question, and then runs on over to another one of their accounts to give themselves a thumbs up.

Heres a list of vegan snacks, meals, and fast food choices (etc.) Hope it helped =) http://peta2.com/stuff/s-recipe.asp... Edamame. I guess it counts as obvious, but I love trail mix :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/trail_mix...

As for making stuff, vegan flapjacks rock:

http://www.veg-world.com/recipes/flapjac... Hummus and carrots =) buffalo wings, slim Jim's, are my favorites ,, !! I love Nature Valley Chewy Trail Mix Bars in Mixed Berry and Envirokidz Organic Chrispy Rice Bar in Berry. The Envirokidz one really fills me up for only 110 calories. It's big, too.

Please note: both contain honey. I don't know if you consider honey to be vegan. I do. Well... I love hummus, and bell peppers, and pita bread, or any thing else dipped in hummus!! You can buy, or make it (use chick peas, sesame tahini, garlic, lemon juice slat pepper, spices and whatever else...blend together with olive oil). Dates with honey is a sweet delicious snack... Aside from that, its the usual... celery and peanut butter and raisens, mixed nuts, etc. Try allrecipes.com, they have lots of stuff, but this is just what I eat. Rice Cakes and peanut butter im not going to critisize, you, i have no problem wih the fact that you are going vegan, however, you can get 98% of proteins from protein supplements like tofu, or tempe, but there is 2% of ESSENTIAL proteins that you can only get from animal products like milk or cheese, but i honestly dont care what you want to eat (im not trying to be preachy) A vegan, no trans fat, crisp bread with natural peanut butter.
Air popped popcorn.
Granola.
Flax seed bars.
Hummus with veggies to dip it in.
Fresh fruit and smoothies. beside fruits and vegetables(and other really healthy stuff like nuts, seeds, etc) ...
myyy personal favorite snack is pretzelsss!! :O)

there is so much things to snack on that are vegan..things you can find pretty much everywhere, check out these lists..they're great! :D)...

enjoyy! hope you find something you like ^.^.

xoxoxo Now why would someone be "switching over" to or "going" veg*n if you don't know what to eat for something as basic as snacks? That kind of thinking or "non-thinking" always amazes me. Kind of like "I'm 'going' meat-eater. What do I eat?"
