Because of overpopulation. Don't you remember basic biology? I hunt terrorists every day... Source(s):
AIRBORNE RANGERS! What is wrong is other people trying to force their beliefs on others.

Nothing wrong with hunting There are many more humane ways to "control the population" than slaughtering innocent creatures.

Some towns are experimenting with sterilization.

Hunting is barbaric and outdated. It's an excuse for testosterone and beer to mix.

NEVER a good thing. Sport hunting is just cruel in my opinion. I just don't understand the need to kill something just for the fun of it.
also...
I'm curious as to why the deer would starve to death if it wasn't killed.

OMG! HAHAHAHAHA! There are people that actually think that the deer population would get out of control if no one hunted? That's so funny. Do you also think chickens would take over the world if we didn't eat them? Cows would begin to invade our cities? Thanks, I needed a good laugh.

What else is funny? That Me feels the need to comment on everyone elses' comments. huntings not bad screw that!!!!!!! there stupid vegitarian i indian for bad hunter.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How and why would the deer starve to death? Hunting on a full stomach is just sick. Hunting for fun with a six pack of beer shows how intelligent one really is. How about I hunt down your mother or father or sister. Yee, haww.
The only legit hunters are the ones who need it to survive, ie Eskimos, etc.

Indian for bad hunter is soooo old of a lame joke. Come again sister...Loser I don't understand how people can say hunting is bad,as long as it's done for useful purposes.
I think it's ridiculous to kill only for the sake of sport, but any hunter who eats what he kills and makes use of it's hide is doing nothing more than what mankind has done since we started walking upright.
Be prepared for all kinds of answers from all kinds of people with all kinds of opinions. Some of them will sound like whackos. Hunting is a good thing. Hunters eat what they kill and are generally good environmentalists who have a high regard for the land and are more in touch with nature than most vegetarians.

Humans are omnivores - we evolved to eat animals as well as plants. Hunting is fine as long as you eat your kill. Now trophy hunting, just for the rack or head, in my estimation, is NOT good at all! There's nothing wrong with hunting if they eat what they kill.

M & M---"OMG! HAHAHAHAHA! There are people that actually think that the deer population would get out of control if no one hunted?"--------you're obviously uninformed, many areas actually hire hunters to take out a certain amount of deer because of overpopulation. The only thing funny about the entire subject is your naivete. Who sais that if a dear dosn't get shot in the head, it will starve to death? Would you like to be shot or would you like to take your chances and try to survive the winter?

If hunters didn't kill off all of the local predators, they wouldn't be "needed" to thin out prey populations.

They like being able to shoot and kill so they have no problem with destroying natural balance. For the why hunt people:

Controlling deer numbers has become increasingly difficult due to reduced hunter access to deer,
LOCAL ORDINANCES THAT PROHIBIT HUNTING, establishment of deer refuges, housing patterns, ACTIVITIES OF ANIMAL RIGHTS EXTREMISTS, and declining hunter numbers. Reducing deer numbers to a level that the
majority of citizens can live with requires the cooperative effort of various levels of government,
private landowners, SPORTSMEN, the agricultural community and other responsible entities.
