Vegetarian in a California college.?

Does anybody know anygood colleges in califonia, that are really good.
**A college that has many vegetarian/vegan isn't my only requirement.
Answers: Alot of the University of California's (UC's) have a high population of kids from countries like India, China, Taiwan, etc. Some of these kids are vegetarian by reason of religion (Hindu/Buddhism) or don't eat certain kinds of meat. That being said, the college cafeterias tend to be more vegetarian friendly. California is probably the best place to be a veggie since our population is so diverse and we have alot of "tree hugger types" as they say.
I went to UC Irvine and because we had so many Hindu and Buddhist students, as well as Muslims, we always had a ton of meatless choices in our dining hall. Another school that is overall Vegan and Veggie friendly is UC Santa Cruz and UC Berkeley. They are very hippie-ish schools and cater to veggies. In fact, there are even a couple vegan pizza places in Berkeley and a meatless cafe at UC Santa Cruz! good luck! Since so many college folks are vegetarians, almost all colleges and universities offer veggie options at the cafeteria- there's always a fresh salad bar (the college I work at has tofu salad, olives, cheese, and lots of fresh veggies on it) and usually a different hot veggie dish every day. I wouldn't worry too much about good veggie food choices on college campuses. Spend your time looking into their academic programs, financial aid, and housing quality. Look into the Claremont Colleges. There are 5 different colleges on one campus (Harvey Mudd, Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, Pomona, and Scripps) in Claremont, CA. They're really great schools, and the dining hall food is the best I've ever had. Students from one school can dine at any other school's commons (and take classes at the other schools as well, which is cool). They have great vegetarian options, my boyfriend is a vegetarian and he went to Mudd, and he loved the food! Loma Linda U is a 7th Day Adventist University, they don't offer any sort of food that is not vegetarian. Great school too, especially for medicine. Colleges in Southern California are your best bet. There are a lot of vegan & vegetarian savy people in this area. USC and UCLA are a couple of great options. If I were you I would go to a college NOT depending on what the serve to EAT! Go to a college where you can the best education you can get! Pack you lunch! It's cheaper too!
