Is being a veggie making me sick?!

Question:

Is being a veggie making me sick?

i have ibs and i know soy and fiber increases acid in the stomach. i eat eggs, fish and cheese, but i did not have ibs when i ate lean meat. so im wondering if being a veggie is making me sick?

Answers: Yes, it is. Eat a balanced and moderate diet and you won't have near as much a problem. Knock off the veggie head crap. And YES you are a Lacto-ovo-pesco vegetarian and many cultures recognize that. But that soy and fibre crap isn't for you. It would me. I am a vegetarian

Do not eat fish too ofte it seriously can cause mercury poisening

Do not eat too much soy it promotes the growth of cancer cells in your body

It's the truth it sounds like you have a lack of protein in your diet.
Try eating tofu, or peanuts or other products with high protein values. You can also buy supplements to put in shakes and what not.

Most vegetarians lack protein because meat is a major source. Without knowing the composition of your daily diet over time, it's hard to say. You might want to try multi-vitamin supplements to make up for any possible deficiencies in your diet, especially omega-3s, B-6, and B-12.

It could also be the eggs and the cheese giving you trouble. Some people have a hard time tolerating those. veggie is not making you sick because you are not veggie. Maybe the fish is making you sick If you are eating an unbalanced diet, it will just like any other diet. FYI, you're not a vegetarian. Maybe a touch of lactose intolerance there? First off, I'll chide you a bit for claiming to be veggie and eating fish, that kind of thing make people think vegetarians eat fish and WE DON'T EAT *ANY* DEAD ANIMAL!!

As to whether your current meat reducing diet is making you sick? There's just no way we can say for sure! You should be talking to your doctor and a certified dietitian or nutritionist specialist to find a good diet for you.

But I will say that current research is implicating the bacteria found in dairy and egg products as a causative factor in IBS. That's why many IBS sufferers find their symptoms ease when they're on heavy-duty antibiotics! Also lactose intolerance is frequently mis-diagnosed as IBS!
