I have not heard, are Spinach and Lettuce still contaminated with salmonella and coliform bacteria?

Do the producers have to provide toilets and hand washing stations for the pickers yet, or are they still expected to poop and pee in the field where they work.


Answers: No. The affected field were identified and the conditions were improved. Spinach and lettuce are okay - but I'd still wash any produce I buy.
