Answers: my sister birthday is coming up, lately she has taken some intererst in vegetarian food and cooking, and i thought this can be a great B-day present for her.
so i am thinking maybe two books.

BTW i will be buying the books via amazon so any links to books on that site will be great.

are you indian ? well you can give sanjeev kapoor's indian vegetarian book or tarla dalal .... check up the site they have there own sites u can buy books through that !

I like Sarah Kramer and Tanya Barnard's "How it All Vegan!" and "Garden of Vegan" as well as Sarah Kramer's "La Dolce Vegan!"

Isa Chandra Moskowitz's "Vegan with a Vengeance" and "Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World" are also fun.
