I'm confused.?!
And then vegans cut out all of the things that came from animals.
But people are saying that to be vegetarian, you wouldnt eat dairy products. Wouldnt that be vegan then?
Can someone explain this to me?
Answers: I thought vegetarians didnt eat any meat but they still ate stuff like cheese, yogurt, etc.

A vegetarian is someone that doesn't eat meat... That's it. You can have milk and eggs if you want, but some choose not to eat those.
A vegan is someone that uses no animal products whatsoever including honey, wool, and leather.
this is the worst place to get info on this subject
You are correct in your assumption. Vegans do not eat any meat or any animal bi products. A Vegetarian who eats diary and eggs is a lacto-ovo vegetarian.
vegetarians will not eat a killed animal.
vegan's are strictly vegetable and will not have anything to do with anything that has been killed or processed by an animal. my mom is a vegetarian.she eats cheese my grandma strictly vegan she will only drink soy milk
hope that answers your question
I think you are vegan if you eat no dairy!!vegetarians eat it I believe.
this tells the difference in their diets.

because dairy comes from animals... simple as that!
dairy producing animals are treated just as badly.
read up on the types of "vegetarians" (lacto ovo are NOT vegetarians.. they have been place among the vegetarians i have no idea why.. because they are not the same.)
There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to this sort of thing. Some vegetarians don't eat meat OR dairy or eggs. They can call themselves whatever they wish. I prefer "strict vegetarian" because I still eat local honey from a beekeeper I know and I am in favor of animals being used in some medical experiments. That does not jibe with "veganism". But, sometimes it's easier to just say I'm vegan if someone asks. I don't always want to get in a big discussion about my own personal views and limits. It is usually easier to just say vegan when you're talking about a recipe or dish. Don't be too overly concerned with labels and you'll be much happier.
If you eat eggs, you are ovo-vegetarian
If you consume dairy, you are lacto vegetarian.
If you eat a vegan diet but don't go further than that by avoiding leather products, animal testing, etc., you are vegetarian.
People usually just say "vegetarian" so people don't get confused or ask too many questions.
