Here's a question for vegans?!
i've heard the "just a bug" argument, and bees are bugs too...
i've also heard the "there are millions of them" argument, and well there are millions of bees and other bugs too...
oh, and the whole "non lethal repellant" bug stuff...yea that crap doesn't work
Answers: I just came across a question about honey production and bees...vegans will not eat honey because they believe bees are being exploited and killed...so do you same people use bug spray? do you kill roaches in your house? step on them, swat them, trap them in glue traps? what about flies? just because they are not cute and furry doesn't mean they don't have a right to live, right?

No it is a gray area. For instance Mike H. will put spiders outside, but he sells hay to people who feed it to animals for slaughter.
What kind of ethics is that? Sounds like someone said a "moral fraud".
Some other guy, Ryan White on here says since he bought his home he will kill bugs. That's fine, but why is he ranting at you because you asked a question. I think what you are asking is to what extent are your actions consistent with your ethical stance. I don't think you are judging at all.
So I think "Me Hungry" is correct. It is a gray area. In those countries were you have REAL vegans and vegetarians, you won't find much "gray areas". But these "wannabes" are going to rationalize their ways. So you won't get a straight answer.
You won't get an answer from any vegans here. Not a real answer at least. Veganism is very personal. What's ok and what's not ok is a gray area.
EDIT: wow....did you shake your little finger at me when you said that?..LOL....if so, maybe you should use them differently as a means to calm yourself.
I will only kill parasites that can spread disease such as fleas, ticks or mosquitoes.
An ant, a fly or any other animal's life will not disregarded when they enter my home and I will do my best not to harm them.
If an ant is crawling on me, I blow it off outside. If I keep screens on my windows, any flies that make their way in will find their way out. Any slower invertebrates are trapped and placed outdoors, including stinging wasps or unfriendly-looking spiders.
Anyone that thinks that an insect's life is completely lacking in value just because it is small is not vegan.
Edit:
People spread disease everyday. So what is your point?
As long as they don't bite me or suck my blood.
The level of generalization in your question is astounding.
saying things like 'you people' makes you seem pretty ******* stupid.
why are you so angry?
and why does what other people think or do matter so much?
let me ask you this.
do you use bug spray??
do you kill bugs in your house??
what right do you have to judge??
I know many vegans who dont kill anything, ive seen a friend shake his arm to try to get a mosquito to stop biting him!
I do kill bugs in my home.
Its my home, my land, i paid for it myself working damn hard for it. Its taken me years to afford to be able to buy it and i will defend it from any invasion, whether it be animal, bug or human!
People try thier best within thier abilities.
I try my best to be polite. just because i fail sometimes doesn't mean i give in and am impolite all the time.
Not being perfect does not invalidate the rest of the effort.
I pick spiders up, put them outside. Ocassionally i step on the odd one by mistake. Does that mean I should give in and go on a pheasant shoot or pop down to the village hog roast? No
Hey muppet, this isn't a food & drink question. You're in the wrong section.
Is the bug spray/swatter/glue trap you refer to made of animal products?
