What are some good clothing substitutes vegans use, rather than wool, leather, suede, etc?!
Answers: And how do the costs compare between the animal products and the non-animal alternatives?
This is where we get our shoes from, it'llgive you an idea of the ranges and prices:

Hemp
cotton is good. Also I have seen clothing made out of organic materials and dyed different colors with plant based dyes. These items(except for the cotton) cost more mainly because of the newness of the items.
There are quite a few fake suede's and pleathers out there - Cheaper than the real thing. Vinyl may run you higher depending on the maker.
hemp and bamboo
I know of a bunch of hippies that use nekkid.

For wool, there's polar fleece, which is relatively inexpensive and not allergy-inducing. For leather and suede, there's pleather. Pleather's not terribly expensive.
cotton
Some of the shoes made out of fake leather are actually cheaper. Usually there's a sticker on the bottom of the shoe that will tell you if it's "all man made products" even if it looks more or less like leather.
The backs of my legs.....sticking to the pleather!!!!!
Somebody said silk. That's a no-no.
There really aren't any non-animal alternatives for shoes since even plastics are made with animal products as well as rubber soles. It's just what degree of animal product you can accept.
It depends if you are willing to pay big bucks for materials that won't last in comparison to "traditional" materials.
I do a lot of extreme outdoor activities in all sorts of weather. And once in awhile we get one of these veg*n nuts with veggie head clothing that really doesn't stand up very well to condtions and are extremely expensive and often shoddily made.
I have a pair of leather Donners that have lasted 15 years. And Sorrels that have lasted even longer. You need to buy the materials best suited for the climatic conditions you will encounter.
Bananna leaves they grow themselves. LOL
paper bags.
then...
YOU CAN RECYCLE THEM AFTERWARDS!
cotton, tencel, polyester? silk, rayon
What's wrong with wool? The sheep don't die, they just get hair cuts!
