What is soy?!


Question: I want to become vegetarian and I see that a lot of the "meat" products they make are made with soy. What the heck is it and is it really good for you?

It's a bean...supposedly an excellent source of protein.
Studies are now showing that only cooked soy is safe...I'm sure they'll change their minds about it before long.
Soy is an excellent alternative for meat, in my opinion.

Soy is a legume like lentils, kidney beans, and peanuts. It's alot healthier than meat, and you can do so much with it.
The soy bean is a legume that is used to make products such as soy milk, tofu, tempeh, etc. It is very high in protein and it contains estrogen as well. For more information about the health benefits of soy, I am leaving you the link below:
