Are onions fruits or Vegetables?!

Question: Why?

Answers: Why?
no seeds so their a vegetable
Both
Onions are a vegetable...they grow as roots and they are not the "fruit" of the plant.

I believe that onions, like potatoes are their own seed...they don't have seeds themselves. But, because potatoes are high in starch, a lot of people just refer to them as "starches"...they are vegetables as well.
I consider it a vegetable although i did hear it is a fruit
I think it is a fruit.
veggies
they are vegetables
Vegetable. Fruits have seeds.
vegatable the` fruit `of an onion is a seed or in some cases a bulbil ,a small bulb growing on the `flower` stalk.
They are vegtables and I have attached a link that gives that information!!
: )
Botanically, they are bulbs, which is a modified stem enclosed by leaves. Each 'layer' of the onion is a leaf.

Vegetables. There IS such a thing as onion seeds and it is not in the part of the onion that we eat.
