I'm making veggie Shepard's pie,got the meet free mince, onions, and potatoes but urgently need advise, never!

Question: cooked much before.thank you.

Answers: cooked much before.thank you.
I fry the onions, then remove from the pan. Then fry the mince. I would then remove this and sweat (fry with out browning) some carrots and then add the onions, mince and some peas to it all.

Then I would add some Marmite (for a meaty taste), a veggie stock cube and a small tin of chopped toms in tom purée and some water. Season with salt, pepper (lagre pinch of each) and possibly and pinch of chilli powder (small pinch) and some herbs. And simmer for a while.

I would mash some potatoes (or for a healthier topping add some carrot to the mash) usually using a potato ricer, but mashed with a masher or a fork is fine too. I add milk and butter and season but you could just use margarine and soya milk of you wanted a 100% veggie option.

Place the mince mixture in a deep lasagne dish and the potatoes on top. I think like to place a little grated cheese on the top (again optional) and cook in an oven on about gas mark 5 or 180C for about 20-25 mins (but checking every 5 mins after 15 mins)
not sure of the whole recipe..but one tip is to mix a teaspoon full of mint sauce in with the potatoes on the top..yum
Boil the potatoes until soft.

Meanwhile, fry the mince and the onions.

Put the mince and onions into a dish, once cooked and then mash the potatoes and place on top. Then grill until browned.

Tasty tip - add tomato sauce to the mince and onions and a slice of cheese on top!

Edit: For really tasty mash, add some butter and a little milk to the potatoes before mashing.
Cook onions in some oil until soft then add meat free mince, and maybe some grated carrot, cook till browned and add a tin of chopped toms, and some seasoning, i put marmite in mine. Mixed herbs if you've got them and then a veggie gravy, or little water. Cover with mashed pots, and heat through.
Not much of help here for you, but this link does have a lot of other stuff.

Hope this will help you some.
Don't forget veggie gravy! Some veggie margarine and a little rosemary or mixed herbs in the potatoes is good. A few little chunks of carrot through the mince too. Once it's all cooked and laid out in a dish with the mash on top, bake at about 180 deg C till its a bit brown. Before it goes in the oven - rake the mash with a fork to make patterns of lines along the top.
Flavour the mince with tom puree and worcestershire sauce and plenty of seasoning, slowly brown with some chopped onions, you can also add a tin of beans. When cooked mush the cooked potato and put on top and cook for 30 mins.
hi doesn't say what kind of advise - SO - i will just suggest you maybe put some peas, carrots, maybe even some corn, or red bell peppers. right now there is no color in your pie. one thing i noticed w/ veggie food, if you are serving to meat eaters-it needs to look attractive - colorful. also the veggies i mentioned will add lotz of flavor as well as color. you could also add some nuts, cashews, walnuts or almonds slivered sprinkled on top w/ a little paprika for more color. good luck oh and do not over cook
soak the mince in vecon vegetable stock for an hour.drain then fry mince with onions a little garlic for taste an a tsp of tomato puree.top with mashed swede and potatoes.a little sprinkle of nutmeg on the top.bake in the oven until the top starts to go crispy.yummy
but what would be the point?
its like rolling up a *** with no weed init
or driving a car with no petrol
