How can I ease into becoming a Veg?!

Question: I want to stop, or at least limit my meat intake. Bare in mind, I still love meat, but I just don't feel like it's very good for me to consume as much meat as I do. Does anyone have any tips on creating healthy, and filling vegetarian meals? I'm also worried about not getting the protein.
Thanks for the help!

The first thing is to cut back on red meat. Eat turkey and chicken instead of beef because they are lean protein. Fish is also really good for you. If you want to cut meat out all together, you have to replace it with tofu and legumes. You can cook tofu anyway you cook meat. It takes the flavor of anything you cook it with so be creative. You might not like it at first but you have to change your taste-buds by eating the healthy food and not so much fat and sugar.

Here is a really good vegetarian recipe:
Unsloppy Joes

PREP TIME 15 Min
COOK TIME 15 Min
READY IN 30 Min

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
8 kaiser rolls or whole wheat hamburger buns

DIRECTIONS
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, celery, carrot, green pepper, and garlic: saute until tender. Stir in tomatoes, chili powder, tomato paste, vinegar, and pepper. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.
Stir in kidney beans, and cook an additional 5 minutes.
Cut a 1/4 inch slice off the top of each kaiser roll; set aside. Hollow out the center of each roll, leaving about 1/2 inch thick shells; reserve the inside of rolls for other uses.
Spoon bean mixture evenly into rolls and replace tops. Serve immediately.

They have a lot more recipes you will just have to search for them.
If you relly like meat eat mocked. it's safer and animal friendly. If it's just meat then you can become a vegeterian. Vegans don't USE or consume them. Look at ingredients in
shampoo
lotion
toothpaste
and more.
A vegetarian and/or vegan diet has plenty of protein. I eat beans, and nuts, and tofu/soy products. I used www.fitday.com to track all my foods when I switched from vegetarian to vegan because I was worried about getting enough protien and discovered that I was getting more than enough. There are many plant based proteins. Some easy ways to sneak in the protein are: Make or buy a bean spread for your sandwiches and top with fresh lettuce and tomato.
Sprinkle a 1/4 cup of mixed nuts on your cereal and add 1/2 cup of fresh fruit. Speaking of cereals, cereal like Kashi (which is very tasty!) has plenty of protein as well. So does Soy milk. I have Darlene Blaney's cookbooks (Good Nutrition for Life and Vegetarian for Life) and they have lots of good, easy, vegan recipes that even my non-veggie hubby enjoys. They can be bought through http://www.adventistbookcenter.com
Go to the library and check out books on vegetarian cooking, and also books on what some of the health issues are with meat-eating.

Once you learn about how meat can cause illness in people who eat it, and learn how to make nutritious vegetarian meals, you will be a happy Veg.

Everyone here seems to have some great tips, but I would also say that you should add mushrooms, olives, and fresh garlic and fresh herbs to your shopping list. Keep this items on hand. They really jazz up beans, tofu, rice, and pasta dishes. Soon, your taste buds will change and you'll find yourself preferring your veg dishes over meat dishes. That's how it happened for me.
look at videos that show how they kill animlas /,.
well i wasnt meat lover at all in my life but married a vegetarian person i had to quit eating meat, fish only eggs were left and i can tell u it`s not htat easy but u should limit ur red meat and start eating mare chicken turkey. And instead of red meat and later on instead of white meat u can use all kinds of beans (check for indian cuisine sites they have sooooo nice stuff to cook out of beans and veggies so u will enjoy ur being a vegetarian)
Well, if you eat a lot of meat, gradually reduce what you eat. Go from eating meat every day to eating it five days a week, then three, then being full-time veggie. There are tons of veggie burgers and other analogues out there. You can use crumbled tempeh in place of meat in spaghetti sauce and chilis. There are also veggie crumbles, which are pretty good in tacos.

And since protein deficiency is practically unheard of in industrialized nations, you should be fine. Just eat a healthy diet, eat enough food, and you will be fine.

Check out www.vegweb.com for recipes. A good cookbook is "The Vegetarian Meat and Potatoes Cookbook" by Robin Robertson.

Good luck!
Go to a slaughter house and u will never eat meat again
