Vegitaian or not and why?!

I am a vegetarian. You should not ask me why, but I am the one who should be asking you "why not"? There is not a single answer to that question without making you look like a selfish glutton, who dose nothing but demands torture and eats it after words. Everything on this planet dose not deserve to be treated as a milk machine, baby machine, meat machine, but as an animal. They are not humans. Yet, they feel, they smell, they see, they hurt, they scream, they cry, they are sad too. They feel deep, deep pain when they hear their friends scream as they are slit, and left to bleed. They understand what happens. They yelp, we ignore. They bleed, we eat. They know when it hurts.
But, to answer why I am...? I am a vegetarian for the main reason is that I do not support torture. I am also one because I do not support animal abuse. I am also a vegetarian because, if you see the way those animals live, you'll truly see why. I am a vegetarian because It's wrong to eat your friends.
I am not a vegetarian, although I do like lots of vegetables. I am not one because I really like fish and some other meats occasionally. It is also a big culture thing. My family likes to cook and eat and meat is a big part of that.
I'm not a vegetarian....
and I don't like vegetables..
i only eat meat and fruits... but i only eat carrots...
i love carrots.. did you know 1 carrot can make you walk 1 whole mile? and i LOVE CARROTS... I'm not really obsessed with it..
:P blehh.
I am a vegetarian. Mostly because of this video by PETA that I was watching. Until I was 4 I was a vegan, and then I stopped, but I never really ate red meat. Mostly when I was younger it was chicken and turkey on thanksgiving, and then I stopped eating turkey on thanksgiving and chicken and then I was still eating fish, after awhile I told my mom that I wanted to try being a vegetarian. And one day while I was sick my mom made me chicken nooodle soup, and I just couldnt eat without grossing my self out. But Its not because I was grossed out, it was because I was sad for the pain that the animals suffered. It's been about 2 years since then...It was in the winter of 2005.
I'm a vegetarian because I can't find a single good reason to eat meat but I can find sevaral reasons not to.
-Health risks
-Animal rights
-biologically we are herbivours
-religion
-reduce famine
-environmental issues
I'm a vegetarian and an animal rights supporter (and want to an activist in the future when I'm older) because I don't support animal cruelty, I find meat/poultry/seafood disgusting, and it's much healthier IF you choose the right foods, that is.
Im am a meat eater i eat vegies too but what good is some vegies with out a side of cow or pig. If we didnt eat meat we would be over run with animals. I know im not gonna give up my land so some wild cow can eat my grass its gotta give me something in return like food.
I'm not a vegetarian or vegan. I just like the taste of meat. But I don't eat veal, duck, foie gras, or lamb because of ethical reasons.
I'm a flexitarian - I don't buy meet at home but I will eat it if others give it to me. I do this because I don't think it's wrong to eat meat, as other animals would eat us if they could and it's all part of the life cycle. However, I think that humans are taking much more from the environment than they give back, so I have cut down on meat to try and help towards counteracting that (drop in the ocean, I know). Also, meat is expensive. This also applies to energy use and other environmental things.
I am a vegan. I'm vegan for my health, the animals and the enviroment. I will never join an extremist organization like peta or alf. People like that only set the fight for animal rights back by making everyone angry.
Not a vegetable fan, prefer fruit. Love animals but not an activist. Can't give up steak, brisket, corned beef, pork chops, bacon, ham, BBQ ribs, fried chicken, lamb, cheeseburgers and many other foods I love. Probably healthier to give them up but I'd rather spend what time I have left in pleasure than live an extra few feeling deprived.
I am a vegetarian...I am an animal activist...but I do not support PETA, they are a little too celebrity driven for me
i am a vegetarian, and i have been since the 2nd grade when my teacher told us how animals were killed for food. [i know That's not something u need to be telling second graders!] i am now in 10th grade and it is really hard to be a vegetarian with a bunch of non vegetarians. because we usually go to McDonald's before a movie so i have to forgo eating with my friends.
i am a vegan.
reasons:
health
animal
planet
:)
Like Jimber and mookiemonkee, I am vegan for my health, the health of the environment and the welfare of animals.
I'm what my friend calls the "almost vegetarian". I eat lots of vegetables and fruits. I don't eat red meat either, but my parents want me to eat chicken, and I know they don' want me to go full on vegetarian yet.
I'm an animal activist too!
You know, the only way to be a vegetarian and animal activist is to grow your own food. Millions of field animals are slaughtered every year during the harvesting of grain and other crops.

I'm vegan, b/c
1. the animals are treated horrifically.
2. Eating milk and dairy is why America is so d*mned fat.
3. Eating blood, pus, sh*t, and steroids is gross.
I've been vegetarian for about 10 years and involved in animal rights since 1991. I cut meat out because I care about animal suffering and animals suffer greatly in slaughterhouses. They suffer greatly in general, from birth to death. They are raised to be killed so their best welfare is not of any concern. Farm animals are excempt from protection so people can do whatever they want (& it has happened recently several times at various slaughterhouses. Mainly for KFC, I think.) and not be reprimanded. It's really a sad shame. These are innocent animals who feel pain and they suffer a great deal. It is an atrocity to purposely inflict pain and make them suffer. Many people don't know or some people just don't care. The world is really messed up. Other reasons I cut out meat: the environment, my health.
