How old were you when you decided to become a vegetarian?!

Question: I was 12. I just hated eating all the animals, plus I saw all the environmental benefits.

In technical terms I am a pescetarian, meaning that I still eat seafood. But I call myself a vegetarian because it's simpler to people. I might go completely vegetarian later, but I'm only 13 now and I'm still growing so I still need the extra protein from seafood.

I was 16.

Has been 14 years since. Best decision of my life. :)

when i was 11 i was pretty chubby, so i decided to stop eating red meat. that and playing soccer really helped me be in shape

I was 10! Because 1 i wanted to loose wait, and because i felt sad about eating animals!

i was 10 and it was because i was chubby and i saw an add in a magazine at skool and felt bad about eating the poor lil piggys so i stopped then stopped wit the cows then chickens!

I was 33. Really.

14, 7 days till 15 for vegetarian
16 for vegan

I did not decide. Just family raised me so.

When I was 50. I decided to become a vegetarian.

decided? lmfao! boy you've got a long way to go.

22. I'm only 23 now.

It basically happened because when I got out of college I finally had time to read again and I read Diet For a New America and other books that helped me make the decision.

I was 19 and I'm not 24. I feel much better and my health has improved drastically. I couldn't be happier.

I wanted to be vegetarian when I was 12 but I didn't stick with it for various reasons. I sort of forgot about it until I was 17 and then I went vegan. :) I'm 20 now, btw.

when i was 13

12. I cut out everything except turkey and chicken...and at 14 I got rid of those too. Turkey and chicken just got nastier and grosser..and finally I just ditched those "foods" too. You could tell I was going to be one when I was really young though by the way I would eat it...and lack of eating meat. Never really did like it.

I was 16, so 11 years ago. I was shown animal cruelty videos and I immediately became a lacto-ovo-vegetarian. After about 6 months, I had started some extensive reading on health issues and diet and I became vegan.

I was 16. I'm now 54 and vegan

12, vegetarian....18 vegan...im 20 now

I was 16. Never ate meat again since that day. If I had to look back at my life and choose the best decision I've made in my 24 years, I'd defenitly say that becoming a vegetarian was the best choice I made.

I know that I've saved animals by not buying or eating meat products. I eat healthier, and would never go back to eating meat.

13. I'm 14 now.

I've been vegan since conception. (Believe me, that's a LOT of ignorant comments over the years!)

12 when I stopped eating red meat. 16 when I went vegetarian. I was nondairy off and on for a few years, then finally went vegan at 24. I'm 25 now.

35

I became a vegetarian at 22. Ten years have passed and I'm still going strong.

hmm let me c... wait that is a trick question! im not a vegetarian!

like in never years!

if i start getting chubby i will become a vegetarian, but I'm still skinny and i eat meat all the time. If i become a vegetarian it's going to because I'm gaining weight, i mean why feel bad for the animals there dead already, u can't stop people from killing them so mind as well just eat them,But if you start gaining wight its a great idea to stop eating meat. Althought u need a little meat for your protien.
