Vegans...Help with my new diet?!
Answers: If I were to become Vegan what type of foods can or can't I eat? What does your diet consist of?
This was my 'Best Answer' from the same question.
"I am a Vegan so you can just replace the vegan stuff with things like normal butter unless it's something like vegan turkey slices. If you need more recipes to add to your list then go here:

I love that site and I started out basic too so I hope this all works for you.
Breakfast: Silk (Soy&Vanilla) Milk with Cheerios. Oatmeal, Bananas, Grapes, Grapefruit, [Toast with Vegan Butter,] Granola and anything else you can think of work great for breakfast if you get bored of just cereal.
Lunch: Vegan Hot Dogs, PB&J Sandwiches, Crackers with Vegan Cream Cheese, Vegan Cheese and Vegan Turkey/Ham Slices for Sandwiches, Corn Chips, Pretzels, Watermelon, Mangoes and any of fruits/ veggies you can think of.
Dinner: Rice, Beans, Banana, Corn, Potato, Carrots, Vegan Burger, Apples, Pasta, and a number of other things found in the VegCooking recipes.

As a vegan, you can eat any food that does not contain animal by-products. So anything that doesn't contain dairy, gelatin etc.
I was vegan for years and my diet consisted of soy products, nuts, legumes, veggies, etc. Try looking for Boca products at the grocery store--they're delicious. Morning Star offers a couple vegan choices but be careful, because they're not always vegan.

What do we eat?
There is nothing but good news for those of us concerned about what we put in our bodies. There are 120,000 edible plants on this planet. Multiply that by the almost countless combinations we can create with these foods and it is difficult to say "there is nothing to eat".

to be vegan you can't eat any animal product: meat, dairy, or eggs.
to be vegetarian you could be lacto-ovo which means you only don't eat meat, lacto means you don't eat meat or eggs, and ovo means you don't eat meat or dairy.
I recommend being a lacto-vegetarian because animals are not hurt in the making of dairy. Try soy products to replace meat. Boca burgers are my favorite. Tofu is also a good alternative, but make sure when you prepare it, it's made with something with a lot of juices or it won't have much taste.
Good luck with your new diet. It's a good choice to make!
Youd have to stay away from anything that could be associated with animals pretty much, including milk, and cheese because "cow abuse" is a cause vegans fight for. No fish, no meats, no eggs, no seafood.
There are some restaurants that are coming out (like this one near my house called sipz) where they serve "chicken, beef, shrimp" but its all artificial and vegans can eat it, and the thing is...it taste better than regular chicken and beef and stuff..its crazy good.
