Women: What are your thoughts on man vegetarians?!

Question: If a man is a vegetarian, it tells me he cares about either

1. His health
or
2. animals

Either one I find to be an attractive quality in a man. Both.. even better!

I think guys that aren't afraid to show that they like animals are actually MORE manly than a guy that is trying to be all macho.. Because the overly-macho guys are overcompensating for their insecurity..

I think it's wonderful, because he really cares about something like that.

do what you feel

There's nothing wrong if a person is a vegetarian or not whether man of woman. It in only shows that the person value his body in health aspect - health conscious. You should be happy and proud, who knows you migth influence you to become a vegetarian too.

I turns my guts to watch a woman eat meat...
Men not eating meat shows an intelligent mind

I think it's great either way.. I'm so envious of people who can stand not to eat meat.. I want to be vegetarian so badly, not for health reasons but because I hate eating things that used to be living.. but I think if I stopped eating meat I'd starve to death..

My MAN is a vegetarian! then again, so am I. I think its awesome for anyone to be a vegetarian!

My husband and I have been married for thirty years. I have been a vegetarian since 1970. He started a little later. We have vegan children.

Certain male vegetarians are absolutely wonderful!

I think the women who say "real men eat meat" and all that cr@p are lower down on the evolutionary scale. It must be pretty sad to live a life where you have to judge a person's masculinity by what he eats.

LOL 'real men eat meat' thats classic... oh wait it wasnt a joke?? ftw..

honestly, if a real man is someone who has a paunch belly, smells bad, wheezes and has frail bones, then no thanks. ill be a not real man instead : )

besides, i have plenty of muscle and none of it has come from meat. some people are pretty surprised when they find that out.

As for women who are vegetarian, i rekon its hot : ) they are more toned, have healthier skin and smell better. especially women who ride bicycles, thats awesome : )

All the better for them! I can't stand men who look down on vegetarian/vegans. It makes them seem incredibly narrow minded, which annoys me.

I think they are perhaps healthier.

I think we're hot ;-)

I think they are more sensitive and more capable of loving feelings and empathy towards others than non-vegs.

I'm becoming "Vegansexual" :D

"real men eat meat"

Have we regressed to the Neanderthal period or something ?

My wife thinks vegetarian men are fine, thats all that counts to me.

Definitely more intelligent. Instead of saying "me hungry, me need meat now'. They're saying "I'm hungry but I know I can survive without meat, I want to be less primitive and more conscious of my actions, so I'm deciding not to follow the mainstream and do what I think is right".. something like that.

My boyfriend eats meat.. and it's such a TURN OFF. They also say that meat sits in your stomach and rots for 2 days before you actually digest it. Sexy huh?

What a wonderful man!

As long as he would still take ME out for a steak if I wanted one...he's fine with me.

I think its great. Alot of guys think that vegetarism in unmanly. The true man can actually do what he believes in.

Vegetarian men are rad. Vegetarian men who ride bicycles are radder. Vegetarian men who ride bicycles and do crafty stuff (knitting, etc.) are raddest. =o)

Well I don't subscribe to the "real men eat meat", crap. That is just as ignorant as the veg*ns saying someone "can't be veg*n" if they eat fish, poultry, etc.

My personal experience into casual dating male veggies is that they are largely "all about" some damn crusade, nutrient seeking, new veggie recipe stuff that consumes their life. They are just soooooo borning, emotionally insecure, and singularly focussed that you feel like running . . . actually I've walked away. Or they are fawning "emos" and so wimpy as to make a woman violently puke.

If I was open to dating, and it came out in the course of conversation that they are veg*n, I would be very, very wary.

They are generally very ignorant "dweebs" without depth. I don't have time for that and even less time for male vegans. Flexitarian vegetarian males are OK.

I think it's awesome. Sensitivity and compassion are great qualities for a man to have. I also think the choice to go veg*n shows a thoughtful, intelligent and evolved nature. All of these are good things, imho.

Vegetarianism has no gender.

Meat has often been associated with being manly and buff... you know, all that machismo crap. Even Hummer came out with a commercial about some guy showing off his masculinity by buying a Hummer because of all the tofu and veggies he was buying at the check-out... while the guy behind him was buying ribs and slabs of meat. How stereotypical!

Vegetarian men are great! My hubby's a vegan, and I think he's awesome for being one.

:)

Diamonds in the rough! At least where I live. :) Love mine!

Think your area is empty of vegetarian men? Try the philosophy department at a local college. :)

I would love it ^.~

i don't think you should differentiate, a veg is a veg, no matter what. thinking about a partner eating meat and then kiss me makes me sick.

My boyfriend and I became vegetarian together and I love it! It shows that he is mature and ,quite frankly, intelligent enough to know that what he eats has a major affect on his body and overall health. Granted his does lecture me now a lot more on my diet, I am personally impressed by a man who chooses to go the vegetarian route.

silly fools who are only looking to schtup vegetarian chicks.

me personally.... well i would have no issues with a platonic relationship but as far as an intimate partner i honestly have to say i should not be able to sit down at a table and watch a man eat a salad. real men eat meat.......
