Which nutrients do Americans eat too much of and should be limited?!

White starch and sugar is consumed far too often in American society. These foods are nutrient poor and usually lead to cravings which in turn lead to overeating.

But as far as a nutrient is concerned, I am not sure except I see calcium being added to many food products like orange juice. I think that is defiantly over used especially since magnisum is not usually added to the products in addition to the calcium...This does not make sense since the body cannot absorb calcium properly without magnisum present at the same time. Perhaps calcium should be consumed in a more balanced way in America.

Americans eat far too much protien, fat, sugar, and sodium. These should definetly be limited.

Starches, sugars.....

Definantly protein....heathy people...people who watch thier sugar intake, calorie intake, and so on... still get far too much protein.

Our idea of portions is way off base. So I think most of us need to rethink how & what we eat.

Should it be limited? Are you speaking of self control or a legal ideal.?
Self education would be a start. Then realizing we don't have to be a member of the clean yor plate club when we eat out(which is way to often) Share the meal with another or cut everything in 1/2 & take it home. etc. If neither work, cut it in 1/2 & leave it.
Outside of maybe a pro football(or growing teenage boy) play NO one should be eatting a 8oz. burger with all the "fixuns".
