Need brand recognition?!
Answers: Daughter is a vegetarian and with my being the main grocery shopper, it falls to me to buy her 'meat free' items. There are three main brands as I see them, Boca, Morningstar Farms and Amy's. I usually buy Boca or MSF as I get coupons for them, but I recently found coupons for Amy's and got a good deal on them as they are usually the most expensive. For the record, which is the best 'tasting' ? Does Amy's really deserve the high ticket price? I am curious, as I don't want to buy things just because they are inexpensive but ends up tasting like caca.
Amy's is delicous, it's so healthy, and has a great and wide variety, they have different sized meals, and so many ethnicities of them. i guess they do deserve the price, but coupons are cool! i guess i sound like and add but i have been a vegetarian since i was eight (almost 15 now), and amy's has helped to give my healthy food, i eat lots!
Amy's is delicious, I love it. I'm not a vegetarian, but I eat more natural, so I buy this. Morning star is really good too, especially their veggie burgers, I definetly recommend both Amy's and Morning Star, and even though they are more exspensive than others, it's worth it. Happy eatings!!
I'm told by most of my friends that Amy's is good.
what do you mean "falls to you"? As a good parent I would expect you to make your daughter fully "own" her lifestyle choices. It is her CHOICE to be a vegetarian so she should do the research and tell you want is acceptable for her to eat. Otherwise it sounds more like a whim then a well-thought out life decision.
OMG ! ! ! How do you figure this "falls" on you to buy your daughter veggie food. If she doesn't like the food you buy, let her buy the groceries.
No kraft cheese is vegetarian I'll tell you that except for Philadelphia.
Why not have your daughter learn how to cook so that there is less dependance on ready food? A great thing for the vegie in the house to do is to freeze a lot of stuff so she has portions to use later.
Quorn is great as is TVP (soya protein) learn to use firm tofu in the chilled section not in the carton. I love tofu scramble made with the Nasoya tofu scramble.slice and fry tofu is just like egg I promise tastes great and is cheap.
Lentils are great as is short grain brown rice, I love Kashi cereals..
Amys is great as is Morningstar for sure.
You are right about Amy's. I love most all of it. In fact late last night I got a huge craving for Mexican and had one of the Enchilada dinners, Yummmmmmm!!
Clair O: Kraft domestic Swiss cheese is lacto veg*n also.
I've never had amy's, but of the other two, I prefer Boca.
assuming I'm forced to not eat a real burger. (not often, but it's happened)
