Vegans, Honey?!
Answers: Hey I know Vegans don't eat any animal biproducts like dairy, but does that include honey? I know it isn't the same for everyone, just wondering how many of you vegans eat honey.

bees undergo treatments similar to those endured by other farmed animals. They go through routine examination and handling, artificial feeding regimes, drug and pesticide treatment, genetic manipulation, artificial insemination, transportation (by air, rail and road) and slaughter.
Queen bees are artificially inseminated with sperm obtained from decapitated bees. Queens are systematically slaughtered every two years because over time their egg producing abilities decline so their whole hive becomes unproductive and uneconomic.
vegans dont eat any animal product or by-product. that includes honey, eggs, meat, dairy... anything that was once part of an animal or creayed by an animal. that also means no wearing leather, suede or wool.
This is a great question and I can honestly say, I've never thought about that. So, my answer is...I really don't know. I'm vegan, but I don't eat honey because it's way too sweet for me, but now that you mention it, I guess it is an animal food. Wow! Thanks for the thought provoking question.
Bees are animals.
Vegan people do not consume animal products.
Honey is never vegan.
Agave nectar is better.
i'm not vegan (thank god), and i don't know if they allow themselves to enjoy honey or not--it is one of the healthiest things on the planet--but a good subsitute is Agave nectar. it's a little bit thinner, but has a great flavor. Whole foods carries it.
Screw the bees.
