Please help me recreate a vegetarian pizza I had in a restaurant called "go nuts" w/ walnuts & blue cheese!

Question: The pizza was from the vegetarian menu. It was just walnuts and sprinkled with blue cheese crumbles and a little mozzarella. What I can't remember was the sauce. It wasn't traditional sauce.

Should I use alfredo sauce or pesto?

Don't use either sauce you mentioned. Use extra virgin olive oil with garlic added ... then, if that is 'close' you may add a bit of heavy cream to get the 'whiteness' ... or you may add some pesto if it was greenish in color ... or both. You'll have to 'experiment' but that's half of the fun of trying to find the 'right sauce' for your 'imitation' pizza. If you can, go to the restaurant, and COPY the 'description' of the whole pizza ... but be assured that most pizza places don't put the 'whole description' on the menu ... although in this day and age, they are putting more onto the menu, which makes 'copying it at home' much easier for us 'pizza lovers' ...

use a olive oil / garlic base....that would be much better than alfredo or pesto both of those sauces can be very over powering
