I'm Vegetarian and was wondering if it had any health benifits.?!
The increase in fiber intake also means you are less likely to develop problems with your digestive system. Most notably, you will have a much lower risk of colon cancer.
You are also less likely to be deficient in most nutrients and vitamins, since you should be eating more fruits and vegetables.
In the flip side, you are more likely to be deficient in iron and B12, so make sure you are eating enough of those.
Of course, you need to make sure you are eating a healthy vegetarian diet, or the above points are moot.
Answers: If you eat a well-balanced vegetarian diet, you will have the advantage of having a lower fat and cholesterol intake, which will put you at lower risk for heart disease, obesity and other related conditions. The fat that you do consume is more likely to be the good (ie unsaturated) kind as well, Also, if you are vegan you won't be eating any cholesterol at all!

I have so much more energy!
