Does anyone have a recipe for good buffalo style tofu?!

Question: i love tofu!!! Here is my personal recipe... this is gunna take along time to type :/

1 pound of extra firm tofu.
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/4 cup of non-hydrogenated, vegan margarine
1/2 cup of hot sauce

Directions:

Cut the tofu into strips about 1/4 of an inch thick and sprinkle with garlic powder. Spray a thin film of cooking spray on a frying pan. Fry the tofu on high heat, flipping occasionally. Its done when the outside is slightly brown, or there are dark spots on it. Melt the margarine in the microwave, add the hot sauce and stir. When the tofu is done place it in the sauce. Make sure the tofu is covered. If you like it hotter or milder just change the ration of hot sauce to margarine, or experiment with barbeque sauce etc.

Serves: 1-2.

Preparation time: 15-20 min.

Nutrition Information: Well, I'm willing to bet that it is pretty bad for you, but it tastes pretty darn good..

Hope i could help

get some tofu and add a buffalo.......

I asked a similar question a couple days ago on Buffalo Wings. Got some good responses. See link:

I agree with the one gentlemen who gave you the recipe, I would add to dredge the tofu in cornstarch and garlic powder, the margarine and hot sauce prep will stick better.

Even shallow fry it in canola oil for a crisper, I use the ICNBB 50% calorie reduced margarine, it has more water but a more realistic butter flavor, bring it and the hot sauce to the simmer and added the previously cooked tofu, swirl the pan, if you like it really spicey, the addition of hot pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to the sauce before you put in the tofu, you can do the same with bottled sweet and sour or honey-garlic sauce for a faux chix wing snack or appetizer.

Take a buffalo wing (boneless). Throw it in food processor. Mix it in with tofu. They only think that its meat-free. Heehee. Tell them after they eat that they had meat. Watch their faces for applaus.
