Since we all know that eating meat and drinking alcohol is?!

Question: immoral. Then what can we do as vegans to correct these lost souls? I like protesting, but my BFF says we should only post ads. Who is right?

Nice to see you back, Ash! Things have been too quiet around here!

Ashley, thank you for the best answer. I've been a fan of yours for a while; my friends are also. Can you open up to make me your friend? Report It

  • SInce when are those thigns wrong? I don't see anythign in the bible that says eating meat and drinking is wrong? Standing up for beliefs is ok but actually protesting i don' tthink is a very efficient way to convince people that your view is right.

Your premise is faulty. Who says eating meat and drinking alcohol is immoral? Where do you derive you moral code from? If you made it up yourself, we can all make up our own. The moral code I subscribe to doesn't consider either of those things immoral, unless alcohol is consumed to excess. You can live your life as you see fit. Let the rest of us live by the moral codes we subscribe to.

Protesting against other peoples right to eat animals and drink alcohol is both wrong headed and pointless.

You'd be better off trying to persuade people by measured arguement rather than ramming your personal philosophy down their throat.

    Alcohol isn't derived from animals.

neither? what an idiot you are. ever look at a food pyramid?

Vegetarians don't eat meat for different reasons, not always morals. Drinking alcohol has nothing to do with vegetarianism.

    Sigh.....

Since when is it the vegans responsibility to save all the "lost souls" of the world? You are the type of person who give vegans and vegetarians a bad rap.
I have NO problem with vegans and veggies - I respect their choice and appreciate when they respect mine. You need to get off your high horse and find a new hobby.

Furthermore, my meat eating, booze drinking soul is more worried about people like child molesters, serial killers, and terrorists than people who eat meat and drink alcohol.

On that note, I need a beer.

I think you fell off your rocker, Ashley. Do us all a favor and go get a reality check.

    Neither of you are right.

PEople.. ashley is a crock that is just trying to make vegans look like psycos because she is NOT a vegetarian or Vegan and for some reason hates them.

well, not everyone shares your views of what is and isn't moral. but you're more than welcome to protest, you have that right (at least in America assuming you're an American citizen). so do what you want, but i'm going to have a drink with my friends while you stand out there by yourself.

CHEERS!!! I am actually feeling the need for a beer and a hamburger after reading this!

Ashley, you need a colonic. Everyone has a right to eat or drink what they wish without your reading them the riot act.

    I don't eat broccoli because it's evil.

I would do both + go door to door handing out Peta pamphlets.

I think your big fruit friend is right. Meat and booze are 2 of my favorite things to imbibe. Troll's gotta have his fun right Ashley?

    Neither is right.

you should be doing homework and chores not annoying other people.

Carrie Nation and her temperance group would go into bars with axes and chop things up. They would break bottle, bust open barrels, etc.

I think we need to arm ourselves with fireaxes and go out into the bars, distilleries, brewery, etc.

You won't catch Carrie Nation "posting ads". That's immoral

Some people will remain immoral no matter what. Sorry, but this is the world we live in...
