Vegans.....?!

Question: .Do you feed your children a vegan diet too?

Answers: .Do you feed your children a vegan diet too?

i think jena should get her facts checked,,,,aside from the cr*p that your saying about meat...you should check where you get your proteins from...vegeterians seem weak to me....tsk tsk tsk vegeterians

I don't have any kids, but when I do I will be feeding them a strict vegetarian diet. I will be starting them out with less risk of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. And if I have a girl she'll have less chance of getting breast cancer because she won't be drinking milk.
The American Dietetic Association agrees that a diet devoid of flesh and other animal products can be healthier than the standard American diet. Numerous studies have proven the same thing. Why wouldn't I start my kids out in life with healthy eating habits?
I hope no one says anything about kids not getting healthy fats (that's what nuts and avocadoes and olive oil are for) or proteins (that's what vegetables and grains and legumes are for) or vitamins (a healthy vegan diet does not lack in anything a meat-eaters diet has except nasty fats, cholesterol, hormones, antibiotics, and B-12, which can be supplemented easily through the use of nutritional yeast in different recipes and is only present in meat because of unwashed feed that animals eat).

A healthy veg*n kicks @ss any time over an infested flesh diet. It's a no brainer.

all I know is my niece and nephew have never eaten meat, dairy or eggs in their life. THeir mom was even vegan throughout the pregnancies and while breastfeeding.

my niece is a BEAUTIFUL TALL strong three year old with the appropriate amount of baby fat and skin, etc.. that RADIATES health.

My nephew is 2 months old and is thriving on his vegan mother's milk.. occasionally supplemented by soy formula.

So.. I see nothing wrong with feeding your child a vegan diet. I sure would. I feel like I'd be doing my kids a favor, becuase they wouldn't have to struggle with "giving up" things that are unhealthy for them, like cheese. I haven't made it to vegan yet. I know cheese isn't good for me, but I like it so blummin much!!

I do believe in letting your children have some choice in the matter once they are OLD ENOUGH to have been educated on basic nutrition and can make wise choices. I do NOT think it is ever right to let a 2 year old decide what to eat!!

Yes! Just make sure they get their protein and all their vitamins!! Have them drink soy milk instead of milk, will accomplish the same goal. Children and adults are the same -- their body is not made to eat meat.

There is no reason not to.

Do Muslim and Jewish people feed their kids pork?

I gladly will put my children on a vegan diet once I have them

I'm not having kids, (My contribution to the world. You're welcome.) but if I did, yes they would share the same lifestyle as myself until they were old enough to decide on their own. All parents raise their kids following their own beliefs, hell, just look around at all the "OMG MY KID WANTS 2 B VEGITARIAN BUT I SAID NO CUZ SHE WILL DIE FRUM NOT ENUF PROTEENS".

Nobody flips out on Jewish people for not feeding their kids pork.
