Would a person with any kind of PHD need to check Wikipedia to see if a crab is a crustacean or not?!

Question: HA! What a goon.

Did he try to say that crabs aren't animals, they are crustacea?

--------------------

Yeah, I saw his "crustacean" answer.

People are bad enough with thinking that they know everything. Give them a PhD and WHOA, how outfuckingrageous they can be.

Right ...!!
Because there is a dictionary right up on top,,, On the toolbar
including an encyclopedia and more.
why back out to search the web when you can stay right here in food & drink
NO matter how silly to post in V&V,,,?

the person shouldn't need to... it depends on where he got his phd in. But still.. I dont have a phd and i know that

A person with a Ph.D doesn't know everything. Someone with a Ph.D in literature isn't necessarily going to know anything about biology, for example.

There are all kinds of idiots here on Yahoo; some claim to have degrees they don't really have. I saw someone who claimed ot be a psychiatrist and couldn't even spell it.

Some people really have advanced degrees and they are idiots anyway.

BS (we all know what that is)
MS (more of the same)
PH.D (piled higher and deeper)

You wouldn't think so, but some phd's are really clueless about a lot of 'real' information.

depends on what they studied

Well, I recently had a contact from someone on this forum claiming to have a Ph.d and they said I must have "studied nutritian" because I was a healthy vegetarian.

There are idiots with degrees, PHDs, jobs and Yahoo accounts, we just have to get used to it.

I can buy the right to use "PHD" for $195.

If you check wikipedia for anything you are onto a loser straight away. Use if for approximate opinion, if you want anythng more accurate than that then moderated dictionaries are the place to go.
