Where is the worst or best place to visit for vegetarians?!
The context being I've just been away for a week and found the veggie food amazingly good.
If i say where i went, i'll either get "cheap skate" or "are you showing off" etc from the trolls so I just want to hear your veggie holiday experiences, please excuse me keeping mine to myself.
Answers: For food selection I mean, so no need to say "slaughterhouse", "battery farm" etc

I don't know about the worst... I haven't been to that many places, but I can say from experience that major cities in Southern California and Northern California are pretty veg-friendly. When I lived in the Orange County area in SoCal, we had about 5 different vegan restaurants to choose from that we tried to go to on a regular basis. We live in the NorCal area now and will be moving to San Francisco in about 4 months where vegan restaurants are in abundance. They even have this place called Maggie Mudd that sells regular and vegan ice cream... ::drools::
Worst place Greece - meat lovers!
Best places must be UK/USA anywhere that understands the need to be vegetarian.
Best place - India
Worst place - USA/UK
Worst place-Bob Evans restaurant
Best Place - Taco Bell (taking into consideration time traveling, cost and saving gas)
Best Place (without taking into consideration time traveling and saving gas)- Blue Nile (Ethiopian restaurant)
In the UK I would rate skegness as the worst. In fact most seaside towns are pretty poor unless you like pizza.
i went to turkey earlier this year, and although there arent alot of vegetarian options, the ones they do any always delisious!
For food, I'd go to a health food store or something, even a lot of big supermarkets have vegetarian stuff. I like Target, Central Market, and Whole Foods. Even look online too! Search vegan essentials on google.
Worst Places (in order of reaaaallly bad to just bad)
1. Siberia
2. Far northern Canada
3. Mongolia
4. Iceland
5. East Asian countries (sounds odd but although vegetables and grains are a major part of the diet, it is hard to find a restaurant meal without a meat product).
Best Places
1. India
2. Israel (because of kosher restrictions, they have either dairy restaurants or meat restaurants)
3. Large cosmopolitan cities in the U.K, U.S and Canada.
I think everywhere else is so-so.
Most Middle Eastern countries have falafel stands in most cities.
I live in Texas, so in my experience, Dallas is the best place for vegetarian food selection (there are actually 4 or 5 veg*n restaurants). The worst place would be the town a few miles from my home, Talty (population: 1,028). The only thing is Talty is a gas station/grill that doesn't offer anything vegetarian... not that you should eat gas station food anyway.
worst - Texas
Best - So Cal
I'm haven't been , but I have heard San Francisco is the best place for veggies. Apparently there are tons of veggie/vegan places.
well... i would say everywhere!people hurt animals everywhere!people do not respect animals rights everywhere you go...
I live in Los Angeles and find it a great place for vegetarians. I also visited Minneapolis recently and was even more impressed with all of their vegetarian, organic, cooperative, etc restaurants.
