Answers: sorry if spelling isnt right its from the same company and tastes exactly the same?

thats a really good question. It tastes like it.

Nutella is the brand name of a hazelnut-based sweet spread created by the Italian company Ferrero.

Ferrero makes both nutella and ferrero rocher and also kinder surprise

.Good question. i learnt something myself

ooo i like the question it does taste excatly the same, but im afraid i dont know, id say so

Good question, i've never really thought about it! Now you mentioned it, i have realised that they do taste very familiar!

Mmmm chocolate. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .lol

Its made by an Italian company so its possible. But I know one thing - ITS GORGEOUS

i am not to sure but you can check at the ingredients

MOST PROBABLY. I WAS EAT A FERRERO A FEW DAYS A GO IT TASTED EXACTLY THE SAME WHEN IA EAT MY NUTELLA WITH A SPOON!!
NICE POINT THOUGH, BECAUSE IT WAS IN MY MIND THAT DAY.

do you work for them and you are actually trying to get a free advert, cos it work, now i need chocolate, thanks.

Quite possibly, i may have to do some taste testing and get back to you!

Don't know, but i do know they are not vegetarian because Ferrero cannot gaurantee the source of the whey power. Only those sold individually are veggie. ( when did you last see a FR sold individually ??? ).

Here is a letter from them on June 21st June 2007 that also shows veggies should not eat Nutella. I also received this letter today after re-checkign with them

Dear Dr ****,

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the suitability of Ferrero Rocher for a vegetarian diet. Please find listed all our products showing their suitability.

The products that are suitable are:

Ferrero Rocher (sold on their own, not in a Prestige pack) Kinder Surprise, Kinder Bueno, Kinder Chocolate (12.5g bar), Kinder Maxi (21g bar), Tic Tac Mint, Tic Tac Spearmint, Tic Tac Tropical Twist

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the whey powder of the:

Ferrero Rocher contained in the Prestige Pack, Nutella, and Kinder Happy Hippo is not of animal origin. Also the orange flavour Tic Tac would not be suitable due to the colouring. Mon Cheri contains alcohol.

Yours sincerely,

Signature

If you wanted a vegan version you could use this recipe:

To "bovinotarian"

no, most whey powder is seperated from curd by using animal rennet.

Thats why veggies need to look for whey from a vegetarian source where is is seperated by using vegetable whey substitutes

Here is how whey is normally extrcted as part of the cheese makign process as descibed by the vegetarian society:

Cheese is made by coagulating milk to give curds which are then separated from the liquid, whey, after which they can be processed and matured to produce a wide variety of cheeses. Milk is coagulated by the addition of rennet. The active ingredient of rennet is the enzyme, chymosin (also known as rennin). The usual source of rennet is the stomach of slaughtered newly-born calves.

Michael H,

Isn't whey a dairy product? That would make it vegetarian, though obviously not vegan.

Yes I think it is

i reckon it does
mmmmm dont get me started!

ye Id say so cause I think they are made by same people, both gorgeous!

It sure taste the same. I love those!

Yes, it is nutella in ferraro rocher but veggies beware, it's not veggie as nutella contains whey powder

It's made from the same ingredients, but there are several different brands of this paste, so may not be 'nutella' itself. Nutella is just a brand name.

yes

Nope, its truffle and hazelnuts.
