I'm newly vegan (i.e. don't eat animal products at all). Which subway sauces are ok? Honey mustard? Chipotle?!

Question: The oil, vinegar, mustard and sweet onion sauce. All of the other sauces contain milk, egg, buttermilk powder, cheese, animal derived "natural flavors" or honey.

Also the wheat bread and deli roll have honey in them and of course the cheese topped bread are not vegan.

What are you finding to eat at Subway?

Honey mustard will never be ok for vegans. Vegans remove themselves from all animal expoiltation, that includes bees.

Best to stick with Oil and Vinegar. Honey mustard would have honey in it, probably. Vegans don't eat honey. Most of the chipotle sandwich sauces are mayonnaise-based. That would include eggs - which are also a no-no. The bread there probably has eggs in it as well.

Despite their commercials, Subway is still a giant fast food chain just like McDonalds and Burger King. Is one of their subs better for you than a Big Mac? Sure. Does that mean it's healthy or natural? No.

If I were you, I would stay away from them. You really can't trust a corporation like that to have anything that's totally vegan.

The sweet onion sauce is yummy (and vegan)!
I like Subway okay but they have to make it MY way:
mustard, letttuce, pickles, onions, olives, double-tomatoes, drizzle with sweet onion sauce, sprinkle of pepper.
Not my favorite sandwich in the world (it just doesn't taste the same as when I make it at home), but it'll do on the run.

The veggie delite is the only vegan Subway sammich. The veggie patties have egg whites in them. (Which I was very disappointed to find out.)

BTW, veganism is a lifestyle, not just what you eat. Vegans don't wear leather, fur, wool, silk, buy products from companies that conduct non-required animals tests:

or frequent circuses, zoos, rodeos, or other places of "entertainment" where animals are held in captivity or forced to perform.

Congratulations on going vegan!!!

I used to work at a subway. I got some sauce (sweet onion) on my arm one day and after 15 min it BURNED MY SKIN!!! 2ND DEGREE BURN!!! No joke, if it dos that to skin what is it doing to your insides. My answer DON'T EAT IT AT ALL!!
