I'm looking to become a Vegetarian?!
Answers: My parents don't exactly approve of me being a vegetarian. hat should I do? Please help!
That depends on how old you are, how serious you are about it, and if you are going to be a healthy vegetarian.
If you are younger than legal age, as it sounds, they DO have ultimate say about what will or will not be bought for the house. They hopefully have your best interests in mind, and want you to be healthy. If you are old enough where you can get any sort of job, even babysitting, you can use the money to buy foods for yourself, if they won't do it for you.
What you really should do before that point, however, is to look up a nutritional guide for vegetarians, or talk to a nutritionist directly, then relay this information to your parents. If you REALLY want to do this, and are willing to put in the effort to eat a healthy, balanced vegetarian diet, most parents will be supportive.
If they aren't, and you aren't able to provide sound nutrition for yourself, you'll just have to suck it up until you are financially able to control your own diet.
Good luck.
Your parents are probably worried about your health, and they're worried about how they'll feed you. So you have to do some research to show that veganism is perfectly healthy--you can get a free starter guide from www.cok.net. And you have to show them that it's easy to feed a vegetarian. Check out www.vegweb.com for recipes and resources. If you're old enough, offer to cook dinner for them so they can see how tasty vegetarian food is.
You want to address their concerns sensibly so they'll be supportive of you.
My dont ether. Im 16. It was hard for them at first. I did all my reaserch. I reaserched recipies, health concerns, ect. Calmly tell your parents this is a personal dicision. Become a vegitarian is extremely healthy, if you know what to expect. Make sure you get lots of protine and iron both can be gotten from vitemins. Peatunts and peanuts butter is rich in protiens. Explain how your doing this for your health. Even though you may be doing this for the enviroment (which is great if you are, thats why I became a vegitarian) sometimes this will come across as... an odd reason. Health is also a stronger argument. After they have come to except your decision to become a vegitarian, tell them about how much better it is for the enviroment. You may even have to offer to cook your own meals, and buy your own vegitarian frendly foods. Show your parents you can be reasponsible about it!
Hope I hellped
I think every one in the world should become one, I'm not one but hey look at the U.S. yet back to the point look up some foods that have the same nutrition in meats plus if u r truly become one consul w/ a doctor first!!=)
be one anyways! who cares if your parents don't aprove? It's your life and your moral decisions. If they offer you meat, just say, "I've told you I don't eat meat and you need to respect that decision." I mean, what are they goin to do? make you eat meat?
And if you are unsure about the healthiness of vegetarianism, know that it's WAY healthier to go vegetarian that to eat meat. Meat causes clogged arteries and heart problems. There are PLENTY of other ways to get all the protein you need. Trust me. I'm a vegetarian. I know.
Try pulling up some articles on the health benefits of becoming vegetarian and asking them to read them. Otherwise, have your doctor talk to them about it. He/she can convince them better than you can.
show them this...

Tell them to get over it... j/k I think you should educate them about it.. Let them see and know that you are serious abou this and that you are not going to give in!
its your life you eat what you want to eat. enough said
Listen to your parents. Apparently at least they know better.
What do you mean? You control what goes in your mouth, not them.
Grow up.
Get a job.
Move out.
Buy your own food.
Become a vegetarian.
oh sure, turn your back on millions of years of evolution and turn back into an herbivore. Fine, that's the thanks you show your ancestors?
