Question: lyk kitkat is haram because it has calf whey powder

Answers: lyk kitkat is haram because it has calf whey powder

Actually i heard these will be haraam, I'm not sure if it is definite though, Probably because they will be changing the ingrediants...
Anyways there are quiet a few haraam chocolates!
Mars, (not mars delight), Snickers( was made haraam but then the ingrediants changed so erm...still though)
Also All Haribo sweets are haraam, read the ingrediants, GELATINE, it doesn't say 'PORK GELATINE' but it does say 'BEEF GELATINE' still haraam
I think from what i understand only plant gelatines allowed?

You are somewhat misusing the terms, because what you are referring to are Muslim dietary terms, "halal" being the strict standard required, while "haram" is considered "forbidden", or, the equivalent for most people more familiar with the Hebrew religion would be asking for Jewish versions of Kosher meat and pork sausage.

I am not claiming the Muslim religious requirements are any less important than the Hebrew ones, it's just that they are much rarer to find, because outside of the countries that are strongly Muslim you don't see much demand for Muslim requirements. There are a lot more Jewish people in western countries than there are Muslims, thus the demand for Kosher food is much higher - and more available - than Halal.

I know they are not exact and might not be totally compatible, but, in the absence of anything else, you could, for finding something similar to Halal, try products approved for strict Kosher standards, perhaps even items approved for Passover.

You could try looking for "Kosher" on the label, or look for the letter U in a circle,. which refers to the Orthodox Union's OU trademark, which is used to indicate products which are suitable for certain strict dietary requirements.

Failing the increased popularity of Halal in western countries, that's about all I can suggest. You could also write some of the companies that make chocolates and ask them if their products are made in a way that is compatible with Halal.

I don't understand what you're saying. What does New York have to do with it (ny1)?

huh?
