Are there any ingredients in animal crackers that would make them non-vegan?!

Question: As a vegan, I wouldn't want to stray from my ideals, especially diet-wise.

So, does anyone know if there's anything in there I should avoid?

I guess milk and eggs. Though it would be kinda funny if they made vegan friendly animal crackers.

Me, where are you? I am drowning in a sea of Ashleys and such. There is even some character who is named Krister that was made today. AHHHHHHHH!

There is even a fake you now!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help, somebody call the troll police

milk, and the ink in the writing on the box is made from the lesser spotted asian treehopper.

as with all close, but no cigar veagn recipes... it would have to be a milk derivative called casein (sp?) everytime, the makers try to slip this one past... but it's milk. so you can't have it. also, watch out for sugar. many kinds can't be eaten if you are vegan due to the processing. also watch bee movie... maybee you won't bee able to eat honey...

Whey, mono and diglygerides.

I've never seen casein in animal crackers.

I think that i've seen some ghetto Mexican style animal crackers that contained sodium stearoyl lactylate.

I believe some milk products and eggs are the things in it that make it non-vegan.
