Answers: I have squash but need some easy healthy quick recipes for using it.

cook in spaghetti sauce or saute with salt and onion

Boiling.

Just boil it and add salt pepper and your other favorite spices.

steam it it only takes about 10 minutes and its yummy

What kind of squash?

Cut it in half. Add brown sugar and butter. Micowave for about 8 mins total!

Cut it in half put a bit of brown sugar in each dip of the squash and put it in the oven to cook. When it comes out it will smell and taste woderful.

It depends on which squash. Here is a link to some recipes.

Cut it in slices, dip it in flour lightly, and fry it in olive oil. I do that every year with what I grow from my garden. Oh, be sure to salt and pepper it too.

1. Peel, slice, and dip in ranch dressing.

2. Slice, brush with oil and a sprinkle with a little cheese and put in the oven until cheese melts.

All squash is good when cut in slices, then stir fried with onions and maybe a bit of bacon. Or slice it, put it in a pan with a can of tomatoes, then boil til tender.

Spaghetti Squash I SUBMITTED BY: James PHOTO BY: WANDA
"The flesh of spaghetti squash comes out in long strands, very much resembling the noodles for which it is named. In this recipe, the 'noodles' are tossed with vegetables and feta cheese. You can substitute different vegetables, but be sure to use ones that have contrasting colors."

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
Place spaghetti squash cut sides down on the prepared baking sheet, and bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a sharp knife can be inserted with only a little resistance. Remove squash from oven, and set aside to cool enough to be easily handled.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Saute onion in oil until tender. Add garlic, and saute for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the tomatoes, and cook only until tomatoes are warm.
Use a large spoon to scoop the stringy pulp from the squash, and place in a medium bowl. Toss with the sauteed vegetables, feta cheese, olives, and basil. Serve warm.

Rinse a buttercup or acorn squash under running water. Cut it in two, then clean out the seeds & all the stringy stuff. Add a little butter & a little bit of brown sugar to the center of each half. Place in a baking dish to which you have added a cup of water to it. (so the squash wouldn't dry out) Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven until the squash is fork tender. Place squash half on a serving plate. The squash can be eaten as is.

i love to roast it with other veggies, ie peppers, zuccini, eggplant, 3-4 whole garlic cloves, onion -cut into wedges, carrots, sweet potatoes yum! put on baking tray drizzle on olive oil and coat them -mixing them with your hands is easier and a little salt and groung black pepper'
Also makes great soup, nice pureed veg, and a very quick receipe, wrap it in foil and bake it slowly for a few hours, it will come out with a lovely natural flavour yum taste and i guess like a kind of mashed veg- heaven

depends on the kind of squash but for me, i would clean it, cut it open remove seeds, then butter the crap outa it, bit o salt, and then wrap in tinfoul and grill that bad boy!!! maybe 20 minutes and it'd be done.

yummy that!

If it's yellow squash, stir-fry it with some onions til its tender.
