Is vegan and vegetarian the same thing?!

Question: Vegetarians don't eat anything that directly comes from a dead animal (meat, gelatin, rennet, any other slaughter by-products.)

Vegans don't eat, use or wear anything of animal origin, whether or not the animal has to die to provide it. No meat, eggs, milk, honey, silk, wool, leather, fur, etc.

any real questions?

vegetarians are strict observers of a no meat and no meat product diet. they will not use things like chicken broth or other meat products in their diet. their protein and calcium comes from other sources such as eggs, dairy products, and beans.

vegan is a much more strict diet. No animal products allowed. No eggs, no dairy, no meat or meat products. Nothing that came from an animal is allowed on their plate. veganism is a very dangerous endeavour because it can result in vitamin and mineral difficiencies when not done properly. vegans are advised to cunsult a dietition or nutritionist before getting started. vegans gain protein mostly from bean products and are advised to take fish oil and calcium supplements to keep their diet balanced.
