For People Who Believe In Animal Rights, What Exactly Do They Want Animals To Be Entitled To?!
Me personally, I am for animal welfare. I am against their abuse, neglect, and mistreatment but I don't think "rights" is to big a word to use around for that.

I believe that they shouldn't really be harmed and treated badly and that they should somewhat be treated like humans since they have feelings as well. I think they should live happy lives until it is their time.
it means that animals should get the same respect as humans do. They have brains, feelings, and loyalty, and most of them are MUCH nicer than any human, who gets more than animals.
It means that animals shouldn't be put at the bottom of the list, but more at the top.

They should have the right to live. To not be abused neglected and mistreated (like you said). Just to live a normal life like we do. They eat, breathe, think, almost everything that we do, so why can't they just live thier lifes like us? Just let them be free =)
I'm against animal testing, eating, wearing, mistreating, ect. I just think they should be treated with respect. I wouldn't have a problem if they ate and used the fur of animals who died of a natural cause..I have a problem with how they treat them.
well the good lord put the animals here for us to use as we see fit. I am against any cruel treatment of animals, we used to raise organic beef, and my son's fish and hunt, the thing that mr, vick did was horrible, and he should be put away, theirs no use to do that to animals. some people don not eat meat, thats their choice, I see nothing wrong with that. and some people think the rest of us that do, are committing some kind of crime, peta, is against using animal skins, thats where you just kill the animal for its skin, I don't think we need to do that now a day, since we have polar fleece, and other types of materials to keep us warm. animal rights some time's go a little too far, but after seeing what mr vick did, i have changed my outlook
Animals have te right to LIFE.
Daily, animals are being tormented, mutilated, slaughtered, diced, chopped, ground up, and shoved onto a plate with a side of potatoes. And for what? A few minutes of "satisfying" the taste buds...?
Animals have the right to live their lives without fear of the human race. Without fear that in about 2 days, they're going to be the ones under that machette. For fear that they, soon will be deprived of their life. Deprived of moments they could spend happy, with their families, and live peacefully.
We all live once. That's it. And these animals Die. Because of Humans. And they don't get to come back.
THAT'S what Animal Rights are.
Life, respect, humane treatment
ARs believe in that animals should live the way that nature intended them for live and not in farms or zoo or for use by humans.
I want the animals to be able to vote.
They should live life the way they were created(evolved..or the like) to. If they were supposed to live in a field they should..if they were supposed to live in the jungle they should...and so on.
We(humans) are living the way we were created(evolved) to righ? Who ARE we to say that we are better than them... we're classified as animals too(mamals). WHO are we to say that we should be they only animal with rights.... We didn't create them..and therefore shouldn't choose thier paths in life. They are here for a reason...as are we...they should get to take thier place in the world...the places they belong. Animals should have rights just as humans do. It's not OUR Earth, it's to be shared by all equally. That's how it was intended to be on Earth and it will work the best for us if we go by the initial plans for it. When you try to use something in ways it wasn't intended to things generally start to turn sour. Earth just wasn't intended to be this way.

I would like the right to live my own life without others interfering for their own benefit and to my own detriment.
I would like to be free of unnecessary suffering.
I would like to have ownership over my own body, even if there is someone more powerful than I that has a taste for my flesh.
I would like the right to decide when to reproduce and not have someone take my sperm and impregnate my wife when they think it's best for themselves.
I would like the right to decide whether something from my body goes to the use of others or not.
The right to not only live...but to florish and be happy as they were meant to be. To never feel the pain brought on by humans or be tortured or mistreated for their own selfish reasons. And to be given a voice since they have none.
