This used to happen once in a decade;what could be behind all this?!
Please, there must be something to all this! Not everyone has set out to be negligent and not cleanse the meat properly at the companies of origin. Neither has everyone re-directed the water from agricultural areas (filled with feces) right into the fields of spinach, etc. Right?
Do these companies really want to loose millions of dollars, or shut down like the meat plant less than a month ago which closed its doors after being packing meat for 67 years!!!!
Does anyone question these things? Is anyone writing their congress people to ask?
Answers: Is it logical to believe that every day millions of pounds of beef get contaminated with E. coli, or Banquet meat pies with salmonella. Or millions of boxes of Jeno's and Totino's pizzas. Or spinach, carrots, lettuce, or any vegetable, for that matter?!

I was pondering that myself today, when I saw all the news of the e-coli outbreaks. It does make you wonder. Is something going on? Or are companies just getting greedy and sloppy and cutting corners. I prefer to think the latter, as I would imagine if it were something sinister...like a group of Islamic fanatics trying to kill us all...they would likely do something a lot more mainstream. IE: Totino's pizza would not be on their hit list, but perhaps the flour mills who produce flour for all kinds of breads, crusts, etc. would be.
I think it also has to do with the stricter inspections imposed upon the companies now, as opposed to how lenient they were in the past. They are now catching the problems before they become a problem.
I say, GOD BLESS the FDA for keeping watch over what we eat before it kills us!!
so what are you saying? that it is not an accident?
I think people in general go as far as questioning it right before they bite into a big mac. In case you haven't noticed, Americans in general don't really give a crap about what they put inside of their bodies.
What is happening is the fact that workers
are not as dedicated as they once were.
Companies are going after cheap labor and
you can imagine who these people might be.
This cheap labor simply do not care about
cleanliness nor anything else. Then the
companies are becoming slack about their
practices and not forcing the employees to be
consious about their work. Bottom line, save
money at all cost. I have on several occasions
thrown out "stuff" that has been recalled
The media gets hold of these stories and causes public panic. In the old days, we were all ignorant, someof us died from ignorance, but in general, whatever didn't kill us made us stronger. All today's sanitisation just de-tunes our immune systems and renders us liable to allergies, intolerances etc.
I don't understand what you are saying. There is certainly no e coli or salmonella 'outbreak' and there never has been. The media pounced on a few infected bags of spinach and blew it out of proportion. I will never stop eating spinach because I won't let media hype scare me.
