Anyone tried almond cheese - i have it rocks!?!
Answers: I got the mozzarella style and put it on a pizza, it melts and tastes great! Its not very stringy but its vegan and 97% fat free and yummy so I am well happy.
I have seen some brands made with almonds in the store, but I haven't found any that doesn't have casein in it. What brand did you find? I am pretty fond of Follow Your Heart's cheeses for the melt factor, but it goes bad before I can use it all up and it's kind of pricey. I am interested in this almond cheese...tell us more!
I make a raw "cheese" sauce with pine nuts and red pepper with spices and jalapeno. It's super yummy and I've seen where you can make a similar one with cashews that is heated. Check it out...
(you can use red pepper instead of pimiento)

ALmond cheeze is good...but I am OBSESSED with cashew cheeze...there is a company called Playfood that makes it in a squeeze bottle...they have nacho cheese, cheddar cheese, cream cheeze and a sour cream type of thing. If you are in the LA area you can buy it at Follow your Heart in woodland hills...or check out their website to see where else you can get it. www.playfood.org
never tried it but sounds good.........
i've never even heard of that! thanks though :) the last vegan cheese i tried (made of soy) was sickkk so its awesome to know there are other types
I've been eating marzipan for years....it is fabulous!
Yes, I'm not vegan, but my parents are and I love cheese of any kind. Cashew, almond, cow, goat, basically every kind of cheese possible. I'm glad other people on here have tried it too. Glad you like it.
Are you sure that it didn't have casein in it?
Sodium caseinate?
