Do Vegitarians like the smell of bacon, is it tempting?!

Question: Honestly, have they secretly ever tasted it, is it such a big deal, just to taste a crispy bacon sandwch? ice cold letuce, the warm toast and butter and tomato melting in your mouth, to feel the fat dripping down your chin...so meaty, so delicious...mmmmmmm

Yeah, until you remember how much human DNA is in a pig.

ha ha
i used to be a vegetarian,
but yeah, it was kind of tempting :]

i'm not a vegetarian, i eat plenty of meats, but i don't like eating bacon, and the smell does NOT attract me! i must say...it depends on the person, whether they are veggers or not...

I don't even like bacon and im not a vegetarian..its so salty and greasy and nasty

even vegans do im sure, they just ignore it because theyve seen those videos of pigs being hung upside down and having their throats slit open

It smells better than cauliflower... ;-)

peace

.

Bacon is what lured me back out of vegetarianism. Damn, it's good..........so that's a yes, did for me.

Yes, it is actually so tempting. I have been a vegetarian for 4 years and it still makes me crazy. I know for some people, taking a bite wouldn't be a big deal, but I feel that I'm devoted to staying a vegetarian, so I wouldn't want to "cheat". Even for bacon =)

this probably not worth a response, but people are vegetarians for many different reasons. some people actually believe it is okay to deny onesself certain things based on principle...some things are more important.

We don't like the smell of any meet it's not even tempting and I can get sick even from that smell

Dude, the category name is right up there at the top - how the deuce did you misspell 'vegetarian'? Hehe.
.

My sister is a vegetarian and she will not let anyone cook any kind of pork in her home. I love the smell of bacon !

The smell of dung is very tempting to flies. Everyone has his own favourite.

Let me just say - if it wasn't for Bacon, I believe I would be a vegetarian. Bacon is greasy & salty & wonderful. . .

I'm pretty sure that they do and if they haven't tasted it, they're missing out. The animals that are processed into meat are put on this earth for us to eat, who are we to argue with that which is provided for us? I understand vegetarians and why they oppose meat but they just don't seem to get how good it is to eat meat- for taste and for health.

maybe they do sneak a taste or maybe not but why would god or who ever created the world put them here it those not make sence and u just made me hungry with your description

this is proably telling themEAT SOME MEAT!! they know they want it but if you are going to stick to being that type of person just ignore. fod is just a feeling.

Haha, lots of vegans and vegetarians started out as meat-eaters. Most, I think.
I have been a vegetarian for months at a time several times in my life. I enjoy meat, but I know it is very hard on the planet and the animals.
Some vegetarians miss the taste and smell of meat, therefore, they use tofu-based meatless meat products. Some are very tasty.
It is very addicting to eat meat.
Some are so grossed out by the pictures of living pigs being striped of their skins, of animals living in filth and chaos, so they want nothing at all to do with that way of life.
You are what you eat.

it isn't for me.. i think meat kinda looks and smells gross. it was when i first went veggie though

No not for me
I just think "Ewww someone is cooking a dead pig"
and its just nasty to me

No, I know that I don't eat it and it's not an issue for me. I look at as a self control thing - most people know they shouldn't eat it (for health or moral reasons) but ignore that feeling and go for it. I focus on the reason I don't eat it.

No bacon for me for 38 years. If you're tempted by the smell, Cheatin' Bacon smells the same, is vegan, and tastes good too.

the smell of meat actually makes me pretty nauseous. thats actually the worst part about having non-veg roommates, for me.

"He who denies the yumminess of the bacon, is a heretic. And he will not attain the key to the kingdom of the Great Noodled One."

Gospel of the FSM, Chapter 5, verse 12

Okay, first of all, dont describe eating meat in the vegetarian section.. not trying to be rude or anything, but what you did was rude.
And Im not vegetarian, but yeah, i like the smell of bacon.. so?

oh yes............. being the only vegitarian in my family, and also being 14, the smell of bacon, and chicken, is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy past 'tempting'. but once you stop, its hard to start again

Not tempting in the least. Besides, there's tempeh "bacon" --and I just love a good TLT (tempeh, lettuce, and tomato) with a slathering of mustard.

ReBell, if you aren't a vegetarian - stop speaking for the group! sheese - little self centered aren't you? This is a question for vegetarians/vegans - let the actual veggie people speak for themselves.

Actually I have given up beef and pork. After I had given up beef for about a year, I had a craving for a hamburger and I gave into it. Made me SICK! couldn't believe how ill it made me feel. Now I don't have any cravings for those at all. I love turkey bacon -- tastes just like the pork bacon.

I used to eat meat, but now the smell of meat cooking makes me sick. Bacon is particularly nasty smelling.

What is your problem? Some people don't agree with you. Deal with it.

I find the smell of cooking flesh to be repulsive. The thought of animal fat dripping down ones chin makes me gag. I don't see meat as food anymore I only see and smell death!

The smell of "bacon" is really the smell of liquid smoke. Which can be added to anything. So no thanks, I'm good.
