"People should be vegetarians". Yes or no ?!

Question: Salut Ali.

In short: Yes.

Longer answer: The meat and dairy industries are contributing to "global warming" and are harmful to the environment. So even for the people who don't agree with vegetarianism, you should at least want to "save the earth" right? I've got about a billion other reasons, but not enough time... PEOPLE WON'T LISTEN ANYWAY! lol

what would the amimals be ? humanatarian?

yes, so obesity is no longer a problem.

people are omnivores, so we are technically supposed to eat meat and plants, but if you dont want to then don't

No. There are not enough vegans left to eat.

No we need the protein and vitamins from meat, in considerable amounts ofcourse.

No. I love meat way too much not to eat it. Good luck. 2D

Only if they want to.

Anyone who tells me I have to give up meat is in for a world of hurt.

at the same time, I won't try and convert any Veg*ns to meat eating. Granted that's because its mostly self serving. (more meat for me)

rosvic, I've known a few obese vegetarians. Meat doesn't cause obesity, mindless gluttony does.

Yes and no. People should be allowed to eat only veggies if they want or meat if that's what they choose.

The reason that cavemen started thinking at a higher level than they did before was because they integrated meat protein into their diets......

I think that vegan/vegetarianism is a choice, it's not mine, but I won't fault those who choose it.

Global warming, huh? What happens when we stop eating the animals? More methane, more global warming...

Didn't you hear about the reindeers in Latvia or some other place that give off too much, and are helping to contribute?

YES!!! it makes you look at what ur eating and there are so many diff. alternatives. Plus it does contribute to global warming and makes u happier in bed!!!

people should do what they feel best suits thier moral beliefs.

For both health and spirit, yes.

People should eat whatever the hell they want to eat, and dietary nazi should be thrown into a pasture with true herbivores where they will be forced to graze with the livestock and pray to the gods on Vega to bless them with four stomachs and ruminant teeth.

It is all their choice.

It really is amatter of personal choice and morals, but if you insist on being a vegan you must make sure that you get enough protein, iron, zinc and B vitamins otherwise you can be very ill!

Anyone that says NO does not know what they are doing to their bodies: research.

NO; there is no 'should' about it. People must do what they think is right for them.

For me that means vegan.

I think its a personal choice. God gave Noah the choice to eat meat (after the flood), so who is a higher authority than God to say someone should or shouldn't eat meat

It isn't yours or anybody else's right to decide what we "should be".

No. They should be what ever the heck they want to be.

The only way anybody could actually be vegan is if they grow and proudce their own food. Did you know that the plows that tend to grain fields run over and murder tons and tons of woodland critters? So every time oyu eat a piece of bread, you'll be nibbling on little traces of bunny blood. Here are just a few of the thigns you probably use that harm animals:
Toothpaste, film( contains gelatine), certain hairbrushes, yogurt, chewing gum, gummy candies such as gummy bears or gummy worms, cheese (contains rennet, which is derived from the stomach of dead baby cows), most gravy, perfume or cologne, and much much more.

So sit there and tlel yourself that being a vegetarian is a positive moral decision, but in reality everybody kills and devours animals whether they know it or not.

I'm not a vegetarian. I eat meat every day and I LOVE IT. There's somethign about pressing your teeth into a nice juicy slab of cow that really puts me in a good mood. I hate most vegetarians because they think they're better than people who eat meat, but they really kill animals just like the rest of us. They are a hypocrites, my friend. So instead of being a hypocrite, join the rest of us and stuff a piece of serloin in your mouth.

Yes, if it is their choice. Nobody should be forced. As far as I'm concerned, that's the beginning and the end of it.

Not going to lie, though -- I personally DO wish it was everyone's choice. I'm just not naive enough to think that will ever be the case.

Yes. Animal protein has been definitively proven to catalize heart disease, cancer, osteporosis, etc by the scientific community. Read The China Study by T. Colin Campbell.

Short answer: NO

long answer: don't be so narrow-minded as to eliminate 2 of the 4 food groups completely out of your diet. Instead, eat a diverse diet, which includes the essential nutrients you get from meat and dairy products.

The only reason anyone is a vegetarian has nothing to do with nutrition. It's just so they can have a reason to condescend to everyone who does not think and act exactly like they do.

It's pretty bigoted, and really very childish.
