What vegetables have the most protien! Vegetarians... this means you!?!

Question: Okay, so I am now a vegetarian with the exception of chicken and seafood. I would not eat chicken, but my parents (almost 18 not yet) made me compromise. We will see. Anyway, I was wondering, what vegeatables have the most protien? I am a runner so I absolutly must have protien! What do you other Veggies do for protien? Thanks so much, please no dumb answers!

Potatoes, beans, peas, soy beans..
It's easy to get enough protein!
Found this site, http://www.weightlossforall.com/protein-... to help you with some more info.

Beans, peas, legumes, soy (including tofu, soymilk, edamame, tempeh), nuts...

Vegetables all have protein. What is needed is the correct amino acids (the components of protein) that your body needs to maintain your homeostasis: for example as a runner.

Legumes (beans), grains (whole, not refined), and of course spirullina (blue-green algae) has the most. These are your basic sources for more complete amino acids found in protein.

As an athlete, you are also aware that you will need alot more than just protein to keep your muscles working (by the time you have reached puberty and growth is just about done, you only need protein to replace the protein that is broken down and can not be reused by the body). You also need to ingest vitamins and minerals and co-factor enzymes, etc. to maintain homeostasis of your body as an athlete. This means eating your vegetables that are dark green, red, orange, and yellow, and even fruits that are all colors. A variety will ensure that you will get nutrients that are trace and need to be replaced faster as an athlete.
